When humanities opened up the portal for useless degrees and college became an ideology instead of a place to learn tools for careers.

Around the time Nirvana and Pearl Jam started to become popular. All of that grunge crap out of Seattle changed young white dudes.

My serious answer would be Marxism infiltrating this country in the early 20th century before WW1. Obviously this would morph into Bolshevism as the war went on and the Romanovs were deposed. The rise of American communists during that era was the first time such a large portion of the population turned on America’s ideals.

Even during the Civil War, the opposing sides both truly believed in America and their interpretation of its ideals. Not so with the communists.

A short time later, President Wilson and his progressive/globalist supporters became the first POTUS to actively question the wisdom of our founding fathers and the founding documents.

It’s been downhill from there.

When the left (especially a certain subgroup of the left) completely took over academia and the media.

It began in earnest in the 1960's. The seeds planted then have matured and we're reaping the harvest.

I don't know where you went to school, but they weren't teaching us this PC bullshite in SC when I was in school in those decades

It started with schools up North and out West. It did make its way down South until the mid-to-late 90s. The Ivys, the Northern Liberal Arts schools (Amherst, Williams, Wellesley, etc.) and the public Ivys (Bezerkeley, Michigan, UVa, etc.) started putting forth their insane "speech codes" (many of which were ruled unconstitutional) in the late 80s. I had a friend who was at Columbia and he described it like being in Soviet Union if you were a conservative. They were ruled by fear. He had been in the Marines (after graduating from USNA) and said that he had never seen such suppression of free speech in his life. This was 1988.

When they took God out of the schools and virtually abolished religion in public America. I am not overly religious but to me it’s easy to see that when they kicked God out, things went to shite.

Damn, I hate to admit it but my baby daughter is so eaten up with TDS that I hate talking to her these days. Love her to death, but damn they’ve been misguided. And her liberal arts degree has done nothing for her, wondering why she can’t find a good job.

When we decided to value moral relativism above objective truth.

That broke everything.

The sad part is white libs are the ones getting this stired up with blacks. Hell, democrat blacks have been led by the nose by white libs since the 60’s.

The earliest instance I can think of is the way “enlightened” people declared that Columbus’ journey to the Americas was not important and that he was genocidal to the indigenous Indians.

I will never forget Thanksgiving 1998. I was home for my father's funeral. At the dinner table my nephew spouted off this nonsense. I almost choked on a yam. I asked him about it and he told me of the new version of history being taught. I asked him if the teacher offered any balance and spoke on any benefit of his travels. The answer was: there was no benefit. He was a murderer.

I suspected at that point, we were doomed. At least until balance is restored some day. I hope for their sake.
