A scientific journal article on viability of extremely pre-term babies, and a definition of bodily autonomy, are not opinion pieces little buddy.
Who gives a crap about you screaming "bodily autonomy" over and over. It's killing a baby, period. You are too obtuse for life.

Found another one who, 30 pages in, still doesn't understand the concept of bodily autonomy.
That you don't is a you problem

Why won't the state force me to give you my kidney, if you need it to live?

Because there are other options to keep people alive. You know, like science

Her co-workers be thinking' "Oh God, this stupid b!tch and her/his/zhits circular arguments and refusal to admit when she's wrong is wearing me out....Plus she makes us all look bad by claiming what we do is charity work...."

It's always fascinating how some of you can continue arguing these and have no idea what the discussion is even about.

Because you have property rights over your kidney.

"to end the pregnancy" very well may be murder
By our definition of murder it very clearly isn't.
quote:
you're trying to argue that since women have to carry baby humans, they should be given an exception to the regulations of murder
I'm trying to argue that everyone, including pregnant women, have a right to bodily autonomy. Being pregnant doesn't magically remove that right.
And I'm using an analogy of a forced kidney donation as an example to demonstrate a scenario in which you don't support using the power of the state to violate bodily autonomy to save a life. NOT ONE of you said you'd be cool with the state demanding everyone who can donate a kidney.
quote:
a baby human is somehow part of the mother's body
Of course it is - it cannot physically survive without the mother. This is not true post-birth, as babies can survive with any anonymous caretaker. During pregnancy that task falls to one AND ONLY ONE individual, and cannot be transferred to another.

So it should be killed then? Answer this question. What species is a "fetus".

The person being forced to give up their kidney IN YOUR STUPID ANALOGY is the BABY
No, the person being forced to give up their kidney is the pregnant woman. Either the state violates their bodily autonomy to save another human life, or they don't.
In my analogy, the kidney RECIPIENT is the fetus. Who has a right to live but not at the expense of sacrificing another human's right to choose what to do with their body.
Jesus Christ we're 30 pages in and you misunderstood the analogy THAT BADLY?! HOLY shite

Go study how analogies work.

But since you want to talk about IVF in framed in an abortion discussion, show the me the couple who would pay $10-20k for the mere CHANCE at getting pregnant that would even jokingly refer to voluntarily aborting a baby because of mere inconvenience.
If the mother's health was at great risk (even not up to death), or if the child was incompatible with life, they may so choose.

Is the perfect night for you, a bag of popcorn and a live stream of an abortion?
