^ Notice how the white flower is wilting/dying. What a nice touch

Quote: The University of Oregon (UO) is hosting an "Allyship Symposium" for students later this month discussing the question "What's Up With Whiteness?"
The January 20 event, which is being co-hosted by UO Coalition on Engagement and Allyship, the Women's center, and The Division of Equity, will guide participants to "find their place" in conversations about "race and systemic injustice" by "examining our own identities and the systems we are a part of in an effort to become more effective allies within our communities."

Quote: The event represents "the allyship track for the Women of Color Symposium," and is open to "any student interested in examining white identity."
"In this full day retreat, participants will explore the question 'What's Up With Whiteness?' through an overview of terms and definitions, historical context, and reflection on their own held identities," the event description states.
"'What's Up With Whiteness?' is intended to be a space where people at all stages of their social justice journey can engage with one another in entry-level conversations about white identity."
Tobin Klinger, the senior director for Public Affairs Communications at UO, told Campus Reform that "entry-level" conversations provide "an overview of terms and definitions, historical context, and reflection on their own held identitiesfor those who are looking for ways they can be more effective allies." More broadly, he added that the event will feature "conversations that help participants [examine] their identities and the systems we are a part of in an effort to become more effective allies to marginalized populations within our communities," but did not provide any specifics.

I like the subtle spelling of "Womxn."

Women of Color Symposium
Yeah, because black women know what it’s like to be white.

I'll be curious to see if this is fake news. The guy reporting on it is a junior at Mississippi State. His bio reads: "Adam Sabes is Mississippi Campus Correspondent, and reports liberal bias and abuse on campus for Campus Reform. He is a junior at Mississippi State University, where he is majoring in Journalism. He also contributes to Red Alert Politics.
It's a bit strange to me that a guy in Mississippi would have the scoop on something happening in Oregon. It's a little suspicious that there is no phone number to register, but whatever.
If this is indeed fake news, you need to own it.

Why use pink and yellow for the nonwhite flowers? Use brown flowers

The same event was held a few months ago at Dartmouth
Also stop using alters to circumvent your ban

From the website listed on the invitation
Appears to be real. The registration page also lets you state what pronouns by which you identify.
As much as TD likes to make fun of Florida, they are getting a serious run for their money by the West Coasties.

It's not. You can go to the actual website and FB pages and find the fliers and information.
With that said, there are these very small groups and events at colleges all over the world.
The FB post for this event currently has 3 likes
I'm sure like 7 people will show up to this.
But that won't stop people from making grand generalizations about entire segments of the population.

Do you get sad when only like 7 people show up to your events?

Because they use pronouns, this is a legitimate event? That makes sense.

The problem is we are all the way down the rabbit hole.
If this is a fabrication, and some guy's try at being funny or edgy or something, well who can tell anymore?
It wouldn't surprise me at all if this is true. The University of Oregon is full of nuts spouting gibberish.
This is EXACTLY the kind of thing they'd come up with.

You mean a blatantly racist, discriminatory program? Yah, it's just kids being kids, we should totally just allow racism, sexism to go unchecked.
