Ignorance.
There are millions of black voters that do not live in metro areas that have voted Democrat for decades.
They matter and it matters in vote totals in every state.

Because they clutch their pearls about everything.
They can't even have a dialog with black people because they walk on egg shells.

Like hell they don't.
When 90+% of 13% of the population votes for one party it's a huge obstacle to overcome every four years. They completely change the voting balance in this country.

Who cares if more blacks vote for Trump in states Trump will win by 15 points. In places like Memphis, or Jackson, or Birmingham or Tallahassee. Democrats don't give a shite.
Democrats will get their number in the places that matter by hook or by crook.
It's a total waste of time and resources for Trump.
Statistically, you are correct. Most blacks are concentrated in non swing states and probably represent around 10% of the electorate so they shouldn't matter that much from a mathematical strategy.
However, when you dig deeper the issue is a lot more important:
1. The electoral college is more evenly balanced than ever before. Every election these days comes down to 1% of the vote in a half dozen swing states. That makes every demographic relevant in those places especially Philly, Detroit, Atlanta, etc. where there is a very active Democratic machine in place.
2. Black stuff moves the needle. Look at every commercial, TV show, movie, news segment. The black issue always gets outsized attention. It shouldn't be that way but it is. You have to dance on that floor whether you like it or not. The people that control the narrative and the spotlight demand it.
3. The 93-7 split of the black vote is just completely illogical. No other demographic or voting block even comes close to that dominance. Humans will disagree about everything outside of maybe "puppies are cute". The fact that black people vote lock step for Democrats and swallow every bit of propaganda they ram down their throat (despite endless failures and negative returns for their loyalty) means they *should* be ripe for a correction towards the mean.
4. There's a great hook to lure black voters this election cycle - inflation and tax cuts. Black people have to pay for groceries, gas, rent, bills, cars, etc. just the same as everybody else. When Joe Biden stands up on his decrepit, corrupt legs and says "if you don't vote for us, you ain't black!" then Trump needs to stand up and say "if you don't vote for me you're expenses are going to go up another 30% and your paycheck will get smaller. And oh by the way you will still have black skin regardless so you can stay black"

Why would they not be involved? What the hell is wrong with them?
Not questioning your point. Just trying to understand why middle class white men are not engaging in politics. They have families and jobs so it makes no sense.

This. Limbaugh used to say that the Republican that carries 60% or above of the white male vote wins elections

As things have stood for years, black people have rendered themselves voiceless by being a monolithic voting bloc. The democrats know they’re getting 90%+ of their vote NO MATTER WHAT and republicans know that they won’t get 10%+ of their vote NO MATTER WHAT.
It’s in their own best interest to become a more diversified voting block so that politicians will have to listen to them and take them seriously.
It’s time they stop being satisfied with the crumbs the democrat party gives them to keep them in line.

The demographics of the country are moving away from your typical white person. If anything, it’s a good thing that the Republican Party is trying to reach out to more minorities, for many reasons.
This is too much common sense for some. I really don't understand this obsession some conservatives have for gatekeeping. They say they want to win elections but then constantly whine about Trump going after voters that aren't traditional Republicans. It makes no sense.

Having grown up outside of NOLA but living in the Atlanta metro for more than 30 years, the Atlanta metro has a ton of affluent and middle-class blacks that socio-economically fit with white suburban voters.
If that portion of the black voters can be swayed by a few percentage points, then that could change everything.

It’s not 13% it’s prob more like 5-6% that actally vote.
So no , they don’t elect anyone on a national scale.
