Turned his life around.

From the interviewer:
I am so proud of you for what you’ve been through and how you changed. In a previous episode, we talked about looking at who you were years ago or who’s the same person you were years ago. People change. You’ve taken your situation and given back and are making a change in the world and helping people. There’s no better way to be than to be able to do that. We can’t go backward.
Damn. I can't imagine how the girl's family feels. Just unbelievable.

A convicted murderer who gunned down a 19-year-old girl has sparked community outrage after being voted back onto the city’s police review board.
Kyle Hedquist, 47, was jailed for life without parole for murdering Nikki Thrasher in 1994.
The Oregon native led Thrasher down a remote road and shot her in the back of the head to prevent her from telling people about a burglary spree he had embarked on.
Hedquist was released in 2022, with former governor Kate Brown arguing that he was 17 at the time of the crime, which means 'he shouldn't be locked up for life.'
Remember when people argued the death penalty was inhumane?
It wasn't.

The Salem Community Police Review Board is an unpaid volunteer position. He is giving his time to his community.
This guy served his time, and he paid his debt to society. Since his release, he has been working extensively on criminal justice reform. By all indications, he seems to actually be a “reformed“ criminal.
He is certainly not the first ex-con to serve in a similar position in an American city, and he meets the posted qualifications for the position.
This is just rage bait.

No, he didn't. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility for parole FOR frickING MURDER.

frickin aye.
Mass incarceration and the death penalty are necessary unless you prefer vigilantism. I'm fine with either.

He's not giving, he was selected, he's compensated by his other 2 jobs as far left advocate

His time like has been said before was life without parole, he never served his sentence.
Had he served his sentence, he would be dead.
Had his sentence been less than life without parole, people would not be as angry.
Everything you said is incorrect.

This is just rage bait.
We should rage at this, left wing advocates springing their minions from prison and then putting them in places of power, after they murdered a girl in cold blood.
