The term boy is a stretch as a racist slur. I’ve called men of all color boys to insult them. I’ve used the term on this board in reference to Jacob Frey, in how Minneapolis needed a man not a boy.

I’ve used it as an insult to others to portray them as weak, immature, as a challenge to their manhood.

Now, I have heard it used as a mildly racial insult (mild in how it can be viewed in comparison to other terms) before in reference to a black man, so it can be used in that manner.

But again, even taking it in its worst possible context, it’s not legal justification for physical force. I can call your mother a fat whore, and, while it may be crude, disrespectful, and insulting, it does not give you legal justification for physically beating me. Even if I deserved such and doing so could be understandable.

What you should do is tell me that I’m embarrassing myself and shame me and let me make a fool of myself to the world then ignore me.
