I've often thought if Reagan were around today he would be appalled at the current US political environment. In his daughter's words:

These “Reagan would be appalled at republicans today” threads are so stupid.
You think Reagan’s views wouldn’t have changed based upon everything that’s happened in the 30+ years since he was President?

Regan was the puppet, not the puppet master. Thinking was not his forte, looking good on TV was.
Not sure any Democrat or Republican in my generation / lifetime would be favorable of plaining whore to a Red Commie pimp.

She's an opportunist, that or CNN is to use a brief piece to frame an angle? Is that the full interview?
The article linked was used to indict merely the GOP(rightfully), but totally by omission left the DNC unscathed.
Patti, and her chosen lifestyle, is the not one to speak for Ron nor Nancy posthumously..I'd rather hear Michael maybe?

No.
Having family that worked high up in his staff, I still talk to them today and would probably already have troops on the ground in Ukraine to fight the Commies, like yesterday.

Totally wrong. After his death they found old notes he wrote on economics way before he was elected. It was like reading something from Milton Friedman.

As much as I loved him, he would have been all in on defeating Russia in Ukraine.

If Reagan is a Rino, you guys have lost the plot.

Correct answer.
Putin is following Hitlers plan from the 1930's, just slow playing the timeline. Bush Sr and Ronnie were young and lived through all that and it was seared in their memory, not some revisionist history book of fake news media blog.

He would not be a lapdog to an ex KGB guy, that’s a certainty.

Reagan's daughter is too stupid to speak for him.
If Reagan saw the Tranny movement and how batshit insane the Left had become with their grooming and sexualizing of children, he would have moved further Right.

He would join the baby killing, child mutilating, open borders, defund the police crowd

Yep
These silly “Reagan would be appalled at republicans” arguments always fail to take into account how far left the democrat party has moved since Reagan.

Yup.
Tho' the cynic in me wonders if the Left moved further Leftward or if they are just more comfortable expressing their insane views.

Nope, he leaned toward constitutional conservatism, he appealed to the moderates heavily in 1984 which helped him win every state except Minnesota.
