Watching Smithsonian channel "The Battle of Normandy ". And the go into great detail about Bradley and Patton's actions.
If Patton was in charge of Israel's troops what do you think he would do.
By the way, the human (non-combatant) casualties for Normandy was described as "horrific".

Prudently take on the characteristics of the Nazi blitzkrieg tactics, throwing as much personnel at the enemy as high command would allot him……and bum rush the bastards until the streets were awash in their blood.

There is no probably about it.
Once Patton saw what we had done to Germany and the forces that we unleashed onto the world, he said as much.
He was liquidated shortly thereafter.

I say this from the cheap seats, as do we all:
1. Win
1a. Gain glory for Patton
2. Sacrifice more troops than necessary in order to achieve 1 or 1a, and I’m not sure of the order. I’m not even sure that’s a bad quality in a general, and I say that as a former likely KIA under his hypothetical command.

He definitely would not have "negotiated " further. Palestinians / hamas in Gaza would be eliminated with extreme prejudice.
Isn't that the purpose of war? To destroy your enemies? The US destroyed thousands and thousands of non combatants on the way to Berlin

Funny as Patton had one of the lowest casualty rating to ground gained of any command while in command of 3rd Army. Patton knew aggressiveness put the enemy off-balanced enough to save his own troops and keep driving.

From what I know about Patton he would nuke Gaza.

Make sure you don’t have to take back the same land twice.

Patton studied maneuver quite a bit and wasn't just looking to assault assault assault. He was looking for advantageous engagements.
I think he would order a large, like very large, air mission to be prepped. Rather than use air to prep the battlefield, he would enter with a heavy armored force, with artillery to the rear. He would then enter Gaza with armor and infantry and he'd dial up the intell folks to find out when Hamas (and others) committed forces to meet and counter this assault. When the direct fire engagements started he would call in the artillery. Then he'd set a hasty defense while launching air. Continue the artillery, withdraw the armor, and mount a sustained air attack. Count the bodies then move in with armor again knowing he probably just obliterated the enemy's reserve and counter-attack forces, so he could blitz through, establish a cordon, then clear methodically.

Don't know the idiot downvoter but Gaza is not a tankers delight. Its hell for tanks.

It's impossible to translate WW2 to the Israel-Palestine conflict because they're totally different and there's vastly different goals.
Flushing Germans out to other countries and taking Germany's land over wasn't an option.

The term scorched earth applies here

I would disagree to the extent that WW II required combat within cities and non combatants
It was as brutal as anything that has ever happened. Pick a battle - Stalingrad?
Israel will go into Gaza to eliminate every person with any affiliation to hamas

Flanking maneuver , cover retreat by artillery. Air power to armor into main forces.

Well yeah, I’m pretty sure he took command after the initial invasion. He was also responsible for a complete disaster of a raid in an effort to free prisoners that just happened to include his son-in-law. I’d take him in a fight for sure but he wasn’t without flaws.

Patton would roll through Gaza all the way to Moscow.
