What will the turnout be in the runoff now that Cassidy is out of the way?

Lots of people were more motivated to get rid of him than their love of the other candidates.

I know Trump’s endorsement carries a lot of weight, but motivation is key to turnout.

I'm actually ok with choice A or B now that C is not an option.

My suspicion is, there is a lot of furtive action going on behind the scenes to try and cut a deal with Fleming and shut it all down now.

We will see, I suppose.

Probably low turnout that Julia wins easily. Granted, I don’t know if the primary runoff is going to line up with the open primary for congressional races post redistricting. I don’t really have strong opinions on Julia vs John.

This is how we got stuck with Cassidy ! Everyone just wanted to see Landrieu go.

And now we are about to do the same thing . Replace Cassidy with a fairly left leaning gop in Letlow . And she’s young. About to get stuck with someone for 20 years.

Letlow is a rino. With her history support of DEI and vaccine, don’t trust her. Fleming is my choice

Anecdotal I know but pretty much everyone I know that voted for Fleming are the type of people who show up and vote every time there is an election. Doesn’t matter if it’s a random spring election with one local municipal issue to pick what brand of dog food the pound is gonna use on the ballot- they’re casting their vote.

I would think a low turnout affair for the run off favors Fleming.

Another great point. This why I started this thread. I don’t think the Letlow people really care as long as Cassidy is gone. Although that Trump endorsement carries a lot of weight.

We just need Trump to stay neutral for the next month.

But I know Letlow is just going to do like she’s done up until this point vote for me because Trump endorsed me . Nothing else Trump endorsed me

I am voting for Fleming, but I am not going to lose sleep over Letlow possibly winning. She will be better than Cassidy.

By “we” do you mean Fleming supporters?

I’m not sure Trump is capable of staying neutral and money is going to pour into Letlow’s campaign.

I know Fleming has strong support here, but he’s in a tough spot.

Her voting record and past statements says she might be worse than Cassidy

Polymarket at 90% chance for Letlow.
