What he was referring to was cutting the hundreds of millions in subsidies going to Mexico and redirecting that money to building the wall.

They SHOULD pay for it because they do nothing at their southern border to inhibit the flow of people through their country to ours.

Why WOULD they pay for it? They wouldn’t directly.

Please explain your response. Doesn't seem to answer the question.

Why? Because the Mexican government and their cartel partners are facilitating the invasion at the US southern border.

Your argument is Trump is just like every politician in history, but he also deserves our unquestioning loyalty?

I think the “why” had to do with the fact that Mexico was doing nothing to discourage their people from crossing over the border. Yes, our border security required fortification by the federal government, but Mexico wasn’t helping the situation.

No, my STATEMENT OF FACT is that Trump is held to a different standard than the career Politicians who have destroyed the United States.

“Great plan.

Did it happen?”

Was the wall finished? Allowed to proceed without leftist intervention and interference?

Joe seems to have changed his mind as he has started to build more wall….

Sounds like a great plan.

Make it happen

As with so many things in life, it comes down to a matter of degree.

Or do you think Trump is just run-of-the-mill, like any other politician in history? Interchangeable with pretty much anybody else?

Why should they?

It's our sovereign country and our responsibility to keep them out. Should the US government take some sort of action to prevent US citizens from going somewhere else in the world? What would that look like?

Now, I honestly don't mind telling Mexico's government that if they can't run their country in such a manner as to not cause practically everybody in it to want to try to squirm into our country, we're going to start mobilizing international pressure to see to it that they do.

See, there is no reason Mexico should be poor. They have the 15th largest economy in the world and the largest in Central America. Mexico is a leading world producer of oil, silver, gold, copper, lead, zinc, natural gas, and wood. They have several areas that already draw tourists and could develop many more. They have the potential to thrive economically.

The only reason they have so many poor citizens is political corruption. 15 Mexican individuals hold 13% of Mexico's wealth. Law enforcement is absolutely corrupt, so 93% of Mexican crimes go unreported.

The problems that make Mexicans want to leave are very fixable.

I don't mind us putting up walls and such, but I wonder when someone's going to get around to trying to bring pressure to bear to fix the cause of the problem.

I wish the search function was worth a damn here as plenty of Trumpfans fully expected Mexico to pay for it and they weren't talking about remittances.

I was.

When Ann Coulter was a fan of Trump she wrote and article about it.
