When he got the nomination.

I started off as a Bush vote, then switched to Kasich during the Texas Primaries. I would have stayed with Kasich in the General if he had won, but can now admit how wrong I was. I very quickly realized that Trump was a fighter and have supported him through the 2016 general and his entire presidency. I'm now of the opinion that he is the GOAT POTUS. I would vote for him in 2024 given the chance.

I didn't say Trump was the best candidate.
I didn't day he was conservative. But regardless of how dumb you think Trump voters are, they are voting him in as the nominee and there is nothing you can do to stop it at this point. Get on board or vote for Hillary....

When he called out the Republicans, media, and celebrities.

Trump won my support when he took a giant shite all over Jeb during the debates...and the Bush's revealed to be exactly who I thought they were.

I was voting republican no matter what, but not enthusiastically until after HIllary called half of Trump supporters deplorable. Then the democrats doubled down over the next few days. I was all in for Trump then, and my admiration and support for him has increased everyday since.
I could be wrong, but I think he really cares about the forgotten men and women of this country. Please God keep him and his family safe.

Question: how many of you who said you decided you were voting for Trump, “when he came down the escalator,” on “day one,” also claim to be a conservative?
Second question: How many of those can even define conservatism?
Now, the poor guy who admitted to supporting Kasich- I get that. Neither that guy nor John Kasich would know a conservative thought if it but them on the Clinton.
I suppose the bigger question is, if you did erroneously call yourself a conservative, then, how does a “conservative” disregard at least two candidates with long, lengthy, verifiable, and stellar records defending and supporting conservative policy spanning decades in total for a reality television host and New-York-Liberal-turned-Populist?
Anyway, I never voted for Trump. I voted for Darrell Castle. In fact, it was after Trump started lying about Ted Cruz and comparing Ben Carson to a pedophile, mocking the disabled, and other things that I swore I’d never cast a vote for him, ever. In fact, after Republicans made him their nominee, I swore I’d never vote for another Republican.
As fate (and irony) would have it, sometime after he became President and the media and leftists lost their freaking minds and began lying about him the same way he lied about other people (Charlottesville, muh Russia, etc.) I was on his team. Democrats and the enemy-of-the-people media have guaranteed that I will vote for Trump.
After seeing that he governs at least somewhat conservatively (if you can actually define conservatism, we’ll have a discussion about spending and deficits and other topics, later)- and I didn’t think he would- it’s a done deal. Gorsuch was a homerun, by the way.
I’m even buying MAGA gear. Don’t get me wrong. Trump is still a gigantic douche (although not as big of one as any liberal I’ve ever met) and I’m not a big fan of his, personally. But, if he’ll continue to govern somewhat conservatively and appoint Originalists to the courts, there’s no reason why we can’t piss off liberals, together. He gets what he wants. I get some of what I want. And we both get to watch the left melt, hysterically. I’ll take it.
Still waiting on that Obamacare repeal, though. If he could actually get that repealed instead of pushing a mere renaming of the bill and pretending like it’s a repeal like he did 2 years ago, I’d promise to name my next son Donald John.
I’ll also say that even though I’m not a fan of his, personally, I do love that he doesn’t let the fake news media run over him. Republicans definitely aren’t used to that.
