For the record, I’m not even a supporter of tariffs. But to suggest that he eliminated all tariffs is either misinformed or driven by anti-Trump bias. His usual approach is to propose something extreme, provoke a strong reaction, and then return with a more measured plan that still meets his original objectives. People see it as compromise, but it’s actually a strategic negotiation tactic that effectively shifts the goalposts.
