The GOP is soon going to lose the stranglehold they have on the Deep South if they dont stop taking voters for granted and acting like positions are favors to be given out to whomever they wish and will have no one to blame but themselves.

They’re both smarter than Gary Johnson by at least 50 IQ points. Having a low IQ is what this was about.

You were saying?

And you don’t know what I support.

I mainly blame Libertarians for being such a pathetic bunch of un-self-aware douchetools that they never ask themselves why, in 50 years of existence as a party, they've never been able to elect so much as a single congressman

Because people prefer security, and authority, over liberty. They're weak.

The Trump wing of the Republican Party is no more for liberty than Democrats.

Libertarians just scream about weed, cops, and the boogaloo while calling it liberty.

ETA:

I take that back. They’ve graduated to narcotics now. It’s not just about weed.

Libertarians are all over the board, andmost vote Republican most of the time. But yeah, lower taxes, less spending isn't popular with the two main parties and most of the populace.

The average American is terrified of personal responsibility.

Bevin did both of these things

No idea why so many have a problem with Bevin. He was as conservative and limited government as it gets

I won’t disagree with you there. It’s pathetic. I watch in disgust as so many cheer their rights being stripped away and applaud the nanny state for doing it.

You just outlined a key problem with Libertarians and their official party. They can’t figure out what they want their version of “liberty” to be. The populace absolutely wants lower taxes and less spending. They just bite the bullet and vote for the lesser of two evils because there is no viable other option.

Maybe that’s the problem with libertarians. They’re too busy getting fricked up on their drugs they bought on the deep web to see the party platform that’s been right in front of them the entire time.

Has anyone paid attention to WHO Libertarians run for office?

Two main party planks since the beginning were Hookers and Hookahs. Even Ayn Rand called them worse than Marxists. Seriously, there was a good faction in the party founding, disgruntled Goldwater supporters. The bigger faction consisted of hippies from California communes.

The Lt. Gov candidate of the KY Libertarian ticket was all about Make Love Not War. This tells me most of their supporters would have voted Dem if no L candidate.

Came here for this post. Wasn’t disappointed. Let’s not discuss our shitty R candidate or our party’s inability to appeal to true conservatives.

And ignore the fact that voter turnout was at 41%...but sure blame the 3rd party and not the 59% of people who didnt even bother to vote

This is exactly what I preach when I encounter those who want to go third party or not vote at all. Cut your freaking losses already! A GOP lightweight is still light years better than the Dem alternative you will most assuredly get in the real world. What you go making a political point that will not be acknowledged anytime soon you will wind up losing your arse with a governing Dem you helped get elected.

We’ve had a dem for 4 years because the GOP ran a moron last election. Kentucky is about to find out why you have to elect a Republican. Sometimes folks need to learn the hard way

Its working well in places like Detroit and Chicago, congrats on the big win. With all the high net worth individuals there, socialism will be great for Kentucky.
