Nixon lost the debate to JFK in part because he didn't wear makeup for the camera. As a Trump supporter, I'm in no position to make fun of Desantis for wearing makeup for a TV event. I like Trump, but I have eyes.

IMO JD taking control of the party wouldn't be bad for Ron in the long term.

He operates differently from Trump and likely sees far less value in turf wars with DeSantis just to exert complete control. I imagine they'd be fairly well aligned, that Ron would have plenty of opportunity in a Vance administration and Vance would be far more likely to strongly endorse DeSantis down the line if it unfolded like that.

Of course, DeSantis would have to be content with more waiting and there are likely to be all sorts of ups and downs with both men (and Trump) in the coming years.

Perhaps Trump just doesn't care very much about the fate of the Tates at this point

Because if you listen to some of the dialogue, I find it to be demeaning and disgusting, it’s not about being an alpha male, it’s not about being a strong man, what they stand for in my view is something totally different,” the Florida representative said during a Tuesday appearance on the network. Earlier in the segment, [embed]Donalds said he supported the state attorney general’s decision to launch an investigation into the brothers who abruptly arrived in the state last week. “I think those allegations have to be fully investigated,[/embed] and then we go from — we go from there. The key thing is, we don’t tolerate the trafficking of women, or frankly, the abuse of women. We do not tolerate that,” Donalds told Garrett.

If I didn't know any better I'd say Ron ran so no one else would.

Wait. You said if he didn't nominate Lara Trump, his political career was over.

You and Eric were wrong again.

Dumbass.

Ron is fine right where he is. When he’s done being Governor he should go into private business and make a fortune.

Ron would be releasing the Epstein list.

That's an unknown. Epstein was an intelligence asset first and foremost. I'm not defending his methods, but he most certainly worked with the CIA and exposing some of the information everyone wants to see could definitely compromise.

I'm also not saying that the "protection of people and methods" & " national security interest" aren't
overused and abused, but..... it's a not unreasonable to believe in some cases it's valid.

I totally believe the CIA would do some heinous shite that should be exposed, but to do so would have unfortunate and unintended consequences.

I have no problem with him wearing makeup. You put it on before the debate. No touch ups during commercial. Did you see Nikki Haley getting a touch up? Very Low Rizz Energy to be standing next to a female getting a touch up

His Awkwardness and no Charisma

He's a grown arse man who has 2x been elected to one of the more powerful states in the nation.

He's not changing his personality. Hell, wine gal Kamala was within throwing distance of the White House, and she doesn't have 1/2 the resume as Ron.

And it's ridiculous for his wife to jump right into the fire and run for Governor of FL. That just reeks of Hillary level ambition. Not even stooping to try her hand as a Senator?

Too funny.
