Because they are also fake people and the government tells them how smart they are for listening . 95% of democrats live a republican life style .

Let's see:
1. Most are government dependents in that they are either getting government handouts and/or are working for the government.
2. Democrats historically control the government more often than Republicans in large part because they have more registered voters, and their constituents consistently vote for Democrats. So when your side controls the government and most forms of media which support your side, it simply boils down to trusting that your side is the best side.

They like Big Government with large social programs. Studies have shown that they are not charitable in their personal lives, so it salves the conscience to think they voted freebies to the downtroddern with other peoples money.

The central value system of the left is equality. People allowed to act freely are extremely unequal. Only centralized govt has the power to make people equal.
