What makes democrats trust government so much?

They hate the government when they aren’t in charge.

Because they tell them what they want to hear

They just figured out who prints the money, and having a job is hard….

A colleague at work has a sign in his office.

When I am right no-one remembers. When I am wrong, no-one forgets.

Same with government IMO.

Anger, envy, resentment, vengefulness…lots of leftist don’t like what America represents.
Individualism, competition, achievement, exceptionalism.

The left finds power in the collective; the Democratic Party is the party that represents their hatred and punishes the individual.

Leftist wanna make you pay for picking them last in kickball and not ever being asked to dance.

Israel rejected God as their king and sought a human king to rule them. Likewise, those who reject Christ as Lord seek sinful men to rule them.

Government does things better when there is no immediate business incentive, or when the benefits do not immediately return to the business.

The Space Program is case in point. While much is made of the private businesses which are now involved in the communications, internet, human spaceflight and space exploration industries, but none of the programs would likely exist without the government 1. Having done all the hard work first and 2. Subsidizing, whether through grant or contract, those programs.

The internet is another example. It is built entirely on a backbone built by scientists employed by various governments, to a large extent American ones. Private industry has done much to expand from that base, but without the initial government-funded structure, there would likely BE no internet.

Private industry is (ideally) designed to do one thing- make a profit. Sometimes the best way to do this is to provide the best product or service, but often that is not the case. Healthcare is one segment of the economy where private industry profit is actually at odds with providing the best possible service.

Our road network would be patchy and overly expensive if left to private industry to create and build. Same goes for our power grid (although the management of that is sometimes better in private hands).

Very few Dems are active Christians or Jews. Their religion is global warming and government.

In the 80’s the Moral Majority thought they could tell everybody how to live and many folks wanted to tell them to frick off. Now we have Libs thinking they should tell everyone how to live and are shocked that people want to tell them to frick off.

They think they are saving the world and are righteous. Pretty tough to deal with zealots
