Sounds to me like he’s planting seeds of doubt intentionally. Yeah we hit them with some sort of sonic weapon that incapacitated them but you know what else we did? We magically disabled their weapons making them impossible to fire *wink *wink

I’m not sure, but I think you are wrong. By using different frequencies they might be able to affect metal but not human flesh. It might go bad for tooth fillings and surgical metals though.
As I wrote above, the biggest obstacle would be the power required.
