Anyone know? I called Starbucks and they referred me to a link that doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure that if you shave about once a week and bathe about once a week and order a small organic vegan frappacino and have some type of electronic device to play games on then you can loiter at Starbucks and take up a table for 4 for 3-4 hours as long as you are by yourself.
Race does not matter. You just have to somehow qualify as a deadbeat.

A company spokesperson said Starbucks does not have a broad policy prohibiting people from using restrooms or sitting inside for free, allowing individual stores to set their own rules.

I'm having a discussion and my contention is that the policy is left up to the particular stores to decide. But I don't know for sure.

Their racist loitering policy is..
.. "No Blacks Allowed".

The bathroom policy in Philadelphia is common for big cities. Very Similar policies all over NYC.

If individual stores make the policy then Starbucks as a company has a major problem that they need to correct.

I want to know too. I'm thinking of having my nephew's birthday party there. We aren't actually gonna buy anything from Starbucks, just have the party there and use the free wi fi.
The only problem I can see is that we're white.

I think each community brings different concerns to the business establishment. Letting the stores set their own particular guidelines on certain things like loitering and bathroom usage makes sense to me.

Starbucks serves crappy, over-priced coffee called a bunch of made up names.
Folks that pay for that crap are a few bricks shy of a load to begin with.
Give me Dunks or Community Coffee any day over all that BS...

Exactly. Because it’s in Philly and they have to deal with trash arse people every day. People are so narrow viewed and can’t see big pictures. This store deals with people sitting in there loitering all day every day. Any store in a big city has that problem. People are retarded and all outraged over this.

Yeah, they already give stores decisions on hours of operation.
There are two stand alone SB's on Airline in Bossier.
One opens Sunday at 5:30 and the other at 6. I asked the manager about it. She said it was a local decision they are allowed to make.
The 'discussion on race' initiative was also left up to individual stores. They were allowed to ignore it.

When I was homeless many years ago (couch surfing not street), I would go into Starbucks, order a marmite panini or black coffee, and just sit there and get my shite that I needed internet to do taken care of, then just chill in a comfortable chair for like 3-6 hours. If there was a long queue when I entered I'd just unpack and start interneting, and wait until it went down, which could take 20-30 minutes. Never got any shite from anyone.
