It is hard to pick an agency, but as an individual Bret Baier on Fox is as neutral as you can get. Most of Fox, btw, is opinion shows and not true news. And they admit it.

Of course that is true, as someone posted earlier, there really isn't enough "news" everyday to fill a days broadcasting, certainly not day in and day out. Fox News, or CNN, or whomever having filler shows is no different than say ESPN doing so because obviously there aren't new games going on 24/7.

BUT, if you compare say Fox News and CNN it's pretty easy to see that Fox News does a MUCH better job of trying to balance out their opinions than CNN does. I actually can't think of a single show on CNN that has even a moderate host on it any more, let alone a conservative one, as compared to say The Five on Fox which has Jesse, who is a Trumpanzee, Kimberly who is a conservative but calls it straight for the most part, Dana who is a Bush girl all the way and not a fan of Trumps, Greg who is a libertarian and thus not a fan of either party, including Trump, and Juan who is left of Nancy Pelosi and never has anything nice to say about Trump under ANY circumstances.

Juan isn't left of Nancy Pelosi and is often far less critical of Trump than even the "moderates" on other networks.

Jesse, Kimberly, Dana and Greg almost universally either endorse Trump's actions or attack Trump's detractors. And I like The Five, fwiw. One of the more watchable shows on Fox.

This just isn't true.

Dana criticizes Trump all the time, mostly for the way he handles the media rather than things he's done as POTUS, Juan is CONSTANTLY criticizing Trump, for EVERYTHING, and Kimberly and even moreso Jess defend him on almost everything. Gregg mostly just enjoys making fun of the people Trump has broken in the last year and a half.

I think looking for neutral is unnecessary and not that important.

Being aware they are NOT neutral is the key because very little of what they report cannot be double checked.

The real problem Americans have is that they're lazy on this. They don't want to go see what a politician actually said. They want someone to tell them what he said.

They don't want to look at labor stats. They want someone to tell them what the stats mean.

They don't want to read a bill. They want to be told what it says.

As long as Americans are like this, neutrality is a distant 100th on the list of problems.

Dana criticizes things like Trump's tone or getting a clear message out, then endorses the substance of pretty much every Trump move while spending the majority of her time attacking anti-Trump Democrats and media.

I don't think Fox News has the same vitriol that MSNBC has, but they're really close to being just as biased. If not for Bret, The Five and Tucker, it'd be useless.

Why isn't OAN getting more love in this thread?

They actually report the news.

Don't you imagine they , including Dana, spend so much time attacking those who criticize Trump because those who constantly criticize Trump over stupid, petty, and often times untrue stuff make themselves the news?

again untrue, Fox News has plenty of NEWS content available that a person could watch just those programs and get their daily news, and avoid the opinion shows if they chose to. I don't think you can say the same about CNN and MSNBC. Those networks don't have hard news shows any more.

The opinion shows, they are there for entertainment. Be they on Fox News, CNN, or MSNBC.

That, and the fact that Dana would have to figure out how to be on the TV 72 hours per day to come close to balancing the other side out.

Some that. It's also that they're largely right-leaning on a right-leaning network that caters to a right-leaning.

It's not untrue. I get it, you're partial to them. But they're equivalent. CNN has far more international and breaking news content than Fox even now.

Not true. In fairness I would say they are equal in the number of stories they run, with the difference being that even CNN's hard news people now inject opinion into their reporting. Fox news shows, at least the ones I watch do not.

and then there is the opinion shows, and you simply can't argue that CNN is as balanced with their hosts as Fox is, not with a straight face anyway.
