The problems of this nation are so intertwined with each other that it’s nearly impossible to identify a #1 problem and even if we could, fixing it would barely put a dent in the fifty other #1 problems that we have.
The only possible fix would be a meteor taking out D.C. during a state of the union

Yes the corruption is 100% the norm and has been our entire lives. It was all basically covered up in the pre-social media days. And we have complete incompetent from the morons running this country.
How about illegal aliens? Most of the issues are related eg. illegal aliens and the homeless.
Think 35,000,000 illegal aliens with another 200,000 + strolling in every month (wearing new Jordans and nice clothes with iPhones) might have a negative impact on available housing? So how about if we throw US Veterans out of affordable and public housing to give shelter to illegal aliens?
The list goes on and on and on.

There are obviously several massive issues that are like ticking time-bombs all primed and ready to explode.
But for me, my main issue has been the country's slide into cultural degeneracy. Some folks dismiss this as a sideshow issue. Yet it takes a toll. Because when I look at the nation and its people and its institutions, and observe how everything has devolved into such demented depravity.... well, frankly then I really just no longer have any interests in the country's continued preservation.
