I think most Republicans do enter politics with good intentions and solidly conservative principles but after just a few years in DC their entire extended families are getting fat at the public trough and they end up accepting the status quo.

We have a societal infrastructure that is collapsing in front of our own eyes which will continue to lead to chaos in the streets. A portion of people can’t even sniff housing any longer. Inflation and cost of goods have increased dramatically while wages have remained stagnant. There is a mass exodus of people in credit card debt. If you don’t have health insurance, good luck to you. Education cost are absurd and put the average American into huge debt.
There are a laundry risk of other issues but the pillar foundations of a functioning economy are broken right now and until these get addressed and fixed you will continue to see crime and the wealth gap rise.
