I know that John Fleming has come out strongly against it but where does she stand? I grew up fishing in Lake Maurepas and I’m worried about the effects it will have in years to come. It’s one of the main reasons I voted for Fleming

She's marrying a carbon capture lobbyist.

A little off topic, but how does the money for the state/public work for carbon capture? I’m not asking about the pros or cons of the process, just how the revenue works. Does it work like oil and gas where the mineral rights owner gets some sort of payment? And does the state get some sort of cut for tax revenue?

What’s the financial incentive to the land/mineral rights owner as well as the state/general public? If this is forced on us, are we at least going to get a financial benefit?

It doesn't make a rat's arse. They are already operating inFl Louisiana.

Fleming tied himself to the loud tiny minority

Landowners are paid royalties just like an oil well. IF a pipeline crosses your land it is just like any pipeline right of way

Pore space owner signs a lease, gets paid based off acreage.

Carbon units are formed. Injector wells drilled. Then storage “royalties” are paid out to the lessors.

It is the exact same thing as O&G production, except in reverse order.

How much are they paying to lease the land and what are the royalties?

She’s for it. And her fiancé is the or one of the biggest lobbyists for it. She’s bought and paid for like all rinos.

She was picked because she’s controllable. So whether she’s for or against it, she will do what the lobbyist on the hill tell her to do. That’s how you get an endorsement.

We may logically conclude that she is in favor of CC, since that is how her husband earns his wealthy living.

Fleming cannot do diddly squat about it if elected. He's appealing to people with brains the size of a Democrat's

It varies, much like O&G lease consideration, but I have seen $400/acre and also just flat $2000 to sign. No real set industry standard. Just depends on location really.

As far as royalties, I have seen numbers that range from $17/ton to $65/ton stored. Much in the same that tracts are pooled for production of O&G, you have various tracts people pooled to create these carbon units. But to exactly determine what people are being paid you would need to do some calculations involving tract/unit participation factors.

About how much could be stored per unit?

You might want to have a look at this

That doesn't come from anything but runoff from wood processing, farming and lawns. Zero impact on CCS/

The same as drilling for oil/gas and operating an oilfield.
