Doesn't matter the side. Have you ever really thought about it?
What if your belief of whatever is or isn't going to happen ends up being 180* off?
What if YOU are the villain in the story?
Does anyone ever have thoughts like that creep in?

I've been studying the history of both freedom and tyranny for nearly 40 years. While it isn't always clear whether there is much of ANYONE truly fighting for freedom, I know the indicia of tyranny and freedom haters.
So I know I'm right about the enemy, even when my hopes and predictions regarding freedom fighters turn out wrong.

The Trump movement is often considered a rebirth of paleoconservatism. Paleoconservatives were not so big on free trade. Trump certainly isn't interested in free trade with China.
In modern times, the neoconsercative wing of the GOP has been the big free trade faction.

I have thought this. I have tried to really breakdown my beliefs and compare them to those on the opposite side. One side respects private property, the other doesn’t. One side wants to allow unfettered immigration, the other wants logical limitations. One side wants to punish those with different beliefs, the other side doesn’t. One side respects innocent life, the other doesn’t. One side believes you have no control over your life, the other side encourages people to take positive steps to control/better yourself. One side seems to concern themselves with what feels good, the other with what is right regardless of feelings.
I may be wrong. I may be the baddie, but nothing on the left seems logical or realistic.
