Props to DJT by not capitulating to these activist judges. Doing what’s right for the country, by invoking laws already on the books is not controversial.

My concern is that Biden clearly ignored judges, Trump is doing the same. Their motivations couldn’t be more different.

The legal system is taking a big blow in legitimacy, and has been for years now, mostly due to targeted lawfare with Trump.

What’s your theories going forward on how this plays out? Do we see a perpetual swing of presidents ignoring judges, warranted or not?

it's just going to swing back and forth more and more wildly depending on who is in power until the whole structure collapses from overwhelming instability. sucks, but that's just how it is and we're all along for the ride.

John Roberts is to blame and the SC won’t do a thing to rein in activist judges. It’s all part of the deep state

The Judicial branch is going to have to fix this.

Discipline starts at home.

Congress has the power to impeach

If the Judicial Conference finds possible grounds for impeachment, it submits a report to the House of Representatives. Only Congress has the authority to remove an Article III judge. This is done through a vote of impeachment by the House and a trial and conviction by the Senate. As of September 2017, only 15 federal judges have been impeached, and only eight have been convicted. Three others resigned before completion of impeachment proceedings. A summary of federal judicial impeachments is available at the Federal Judicial Center’s website.

Not really, you just have some miniscule pathetic judges trying to overstep the boundary of their power.

I am aware.

quote:

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has the authority to review and potentially overturn decisions made by lower courts, including those made by activist judges.
In a recent case, the Supreme Court allowed an activist federal judge to issue an order that the administration release $2 billion in foreign aid, but this decision was met with strong dissent from the four conservative justices.

Justice Alito, joined by Justices Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh, criticized the district court judge for overstepping constitutional boundaries and assuming powers reserved for the executive branch under Article II of the Constitution.

The dissenting opinion emphasized the need to ensure that federal judges do not abuse the power entrusted to them by the Constitution.

Justice Alito questioned whether a single district court judge has the unchecked power to compel the government to pay out $2 billion in taxpayer dollars.

Yes. But this is a self-inflicted wound.

Without men willing to enforce them with the threat of violence, laws are just words on paper.

Trump is making them mean something.
This is the opposite of Joe ignoring them.

How do you strike the right balance between some oversight of the Executive Branch and any given judge running the country by impeding every action? It’s gotten ridiculous and whether it’s Congress (help us all…) or the Supreme Court, how does it get fixed?

No theories here but the goal should be to impeach all activist judges that are attempting to utilize authority they do not have.

The fisa judge needs to be impeached today.

Having him explain the fisa warrants and then stopping a flight of criminals would be a death knell for dem Senators to not vote to impeach

The only consequences is if the next administration decides to prosecute. Obviously these will eventually get to SCOTUS. But long after deeds are done.

Or the current staff refuse to carry out orders. Not likely.
