They traded it for a heaping helping of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Does not apply to me.

As I said earlier, my biggest issue with Trump is his Leftist economics.

His ineffectiveness at implementing policies I liked and the general buffoonery of his admin comes in at #2. What good they wanted to do was bungled from almost literally day 1 (The "Muslim" ban that got wrecked). Other embarrassments include various simple APA procedures they didn't follow that killed things like rescinding DACA.

If not supporting Leftism and not wanting error after error defines TDS, then I have to ask what defines MAGA, at at that point

*ETA: awaiting another layer of the conspiracy to be formed to excuse the Leftism and embarrassing ineffectiveness.

I don't typically condone this sort of behavior as evidenced by my attempt to take the high road in having an open conversation.

However, as usual you guys have resorted to calling people liars and deflecting instead of having a productive debate.

The sad part is that some of you are simply trolling and this stuff doesn't matter to you. You get your rocks off by being a contrarian. The fact is, you are keyboard bullies and some of you deserve "a good talking to".

This stuff really matters to some of us. I'm truthfully concerned for my adult children and their children if we continue down this road.

We need to have better, more open, conversations. Some of you guys are too emotional and don't know how to have an open conversation without getting butt hurt. So, if that conversation needs to start at a Sonic in Pensacola, so be it. However, before you reply to this message you should review my post history. If you do that you'll find that I live in Florida.

1. Do you agree with the US having open borders?

YES - Canada is an open border and both sides of my family were immigrants from another country

quote:

2. Do you support teaching trans ideology to minors?

HELL NO! - I think kids need time to be kids. Stuff should be off limits till at least puberty hits and then they need fair and balanced advice and instruction from their parents first

quote:

3. Do you agree with sending billions of dollars to Ukraine?

YES - I am old enough to remember Hitler not being stopped much earlier in his career. Putin is using a similar plan but just going much slower. When he gets to Poland it will be too late.

quote:

4. Do you think Joe Biden is the best candidate for POTUS?

NO - To be fair I find no sense of security in a POTUS when the choice is a corporate stooge, a commie stooge, and a dude with a dead brain worm. How we have over 350 million citizens and these are our 3 choices is what befuddles me.

quote:

5. Do you think Trump is being politically persecuted?

NO - I am old and know him and his dad well enough to know this is not political. He has mental problems and they were never addressed in his youth so it just gets worse as he ages.

quote:

6. Do you agree with allowing illegal aliens to vote? Even in local elections?

HELL NO! - You have to get a license to get married or drive a car. I think you should earn the right to vote in your youth (if native) by doing something for the USA as a whole (military service, peace corps, non profit, or inner city volunteer work). If immigrate (legal) something similar before granting citizenship and being allowed to vote.

quote:

7. Do you agree with the forgiveness of billions in student loans?

HELL NO! - If you take a debt, you need to pay it back. The bigger problem is folks thinking college (and going in debt) is a right. We need lots of workers and trade folks but kids today think they are too good to earn a honest wage with hard work.

quote:

8. Do you agree with letting biological men compete against biological women in sports?

F*CK NO! - This is why we are so screwed up right now. The far left and the far right are too busy blaming each other that the sensible moderates are being ignored in the discussions.

The biscuit is the best part of biscuits and gravy. We can settle that in February, too.

Is there not room for some middle ground here?

Did the media and left over sensationalize stuff-yes.

However previously rational everyday people were literally scaling concrete walls to go into the chambers in session in defiance of law enforcement. Because of partisan politics

You can tell their true deep down beliefs about the election once they came to their senses because nothing further has happened.

Should have had a picture of General Patton also. He fought for his country and was destroyed by the Deep State.
It didn't start with Trump.

1. Do you agree with the US having open borders?
No, countries are defined by their borders.

quote:

2. Do you support teaching trans ideology to minors?
Mental illness should be diagnosed and treated, not encouraged.

quote:

3. Do you agree with sending billions of dollars to Ukraine?
No, not because I’m opposed to helping fund allies who support our interests. I just don’t see any benefit to it in this instance.

quote:

4. Do you think Joe Biden is the best candidate for POTUS?
I thought Biden was one of the dumbest people I’d ever met 30+ years ago. Trump is a much better candidate unfortunately that doesn’t mean he’s remotely the best choice either.

quote:

5. Do you think Trump is being politically persecuted?
Yep, you have to be lying, blind or a moron to think otherwise.

quote:

6. Do you agree with allowing illegal aliens to vote? Even in local elections?
if they’re illegal the only thing they should be doing is boarding transport to the furthest border away from us from whatever country they’re from and told if they come back we’ll see if they can outswim sharks next time.

quote:

7. Do you agree with the forgiveness of billions in student loans?
If someone is sick or injured and unable to repay them, I’m fine with it. If they’re stupid enough to get a useless degree or too lazy to work, frick ‘em.

quote:

8. Do you agree with letting biological men compete against biological women in sports?
Some sports, yes. Golf is a prime example of by playing the appropriate tees men and women can compete on the same course. Some such as Tennis there’s no way to do it.

People without a moral compass from an external source who are on the edge of “polite society” are unable to understand the current culture is simply rot. They cannot see (because of the lack of internal compass) that the zeitgeist is bankrupt and drifting towards wholesale insanity.

So, they’re left fighting a rearguard action in defense of cultural rot. This will take many forms. Most of it will be alternately minimizing the rot or gaslighting you that the rot isn’t occurring. “What you saw you didn’t see.”
