I’m well aware. I’m just entertaining my myself with his own stupidly.

Can you imagine being so dumb you call first hand knowledge hearsay?

I find it hilarious. I think more and more are seeing the chihuahuas for what they are.

Look at the reactions to jbdawg’s thread from yesterday. Wasn’t met with the upvote barrage from a while ago.

Damnit. Why did you do that? You should have just let him wallow in his own stupidity.

I think a point of this thread is people like road, 808, and my friend have some real-life issues hitting home due to the tariffs that the MAGA world either doesn't know or doesn't care about. Not saying I disagree with the concept of them and a lot of the discussion is probably over my head, but this is the problem with not presenting a plan. Businesses don't know how to handle it. But, hey, I understand that's all part of the 8D chess.

Then those businesses need smarter people leading them. Trump played this exactly the right way. Exactly the right way. You people are just looking to trash him any and every opportunity. Just admit it, you want marxism. There is no other option without supporting trump...because going against Trump is supporting g Marxism.

You're a lunatic. You can question whatever the tariff plan is without supporting communism or wanting Klaus Schwab to run the world . In fact, there is absolutely an argument that the tariffs ARE communist centralized government control policies, as argued by SFP and Roger over and over.

This is correct.

Uncertainty, in terms of business, is a killer. And nobody knows what Trump will or won’t do next. It’s not a good thing, stability is key.

So much parked capital that won’t be deployed until this is essentially over (if not entirely over), which is totally reasonable from an ownership perspective.

It could be a lie it could be hearsay

No one knows if that liar is a source which i doubt he is. Hence hearsay

Here’s a real life example. You tell me how you would’ve handled it.

A building that was in design for the last three years went out for bid last year.

It has a lot of extruded aluminum on the exterior.

A sheet metal contractor bids in March of 2024 for installing the aluminum feature and paying for the material.

Let’s say $500k (probably not far off).

He wins the job based on his bid and submits a PO in June.

Fast forward to present day.

The aluminum crosses the border and incurs a $50k tariff.

What did the owner of the sheet metal contractor not account for in his bid in March and purchase order that would’ve allowed him to absorb 10% of the total job costs?

What did the architect miss?
General contractor?
Building owner?

The sooner you understand that you don’t know what the frick you’re talking about, the better off we’ll all be.

They are 10x ore savvy than any politician, including Trump.

Donny tried his best to frick over small and medium sized industry, and failed. Not that he will not try again, but glad he folded.

The Economist magazine and New Yorker and a couple others are still telling us that the tariffs could still be disastrous.

Don't lose hope, TDSers.
