so now black has a capital "B", so it's all cool?

Early wokism (PC) had all of polite and public society using AA for fear of being accused of insensitivity or overt racism by the Committee to Decide How All B/AA People Want Their Race Referenced.

I'd love to see a graph of number of appearances of "AA" over time since its first usage to now in WP, NYT, etc.

Which part of AA do you think the Committee could not abide its alleged benefactors internalizing?

African American is the most stupid divisive term ever.

I loathe that any kind of hyphenated American became part of our lexicon.

I’ve never seen what was wrong with saying black people or white people.

Adopting Jesse 'Hi'Jackson's "African American" descriptor was asinine to begin with.

Yeah...I never used AA. It was idiotic.

If these two are actually African Americans, the term has no meaning.

Well, ya gotta understand that the term came out when a lot of history revisionism was going on. Back in the 90s there was a flood of books... Cleopatra was black, blacks invented the light bulb and Edison stole it, a tribe in Africa could fly (waving their arms) and the whites killed off that tribe. Beethoven was black.

It was all generated by the self esteem movement in K-12.
The modern version is Wakanda.

it is interesting that the Committee can pivot so quickly, and that everyone seems to have gotten the message at the same time

Pretty sure those hyphens started with Irish-Americans, Italian-Americans, etc.

If you think really hard, you’ll see how those examples are different.

But those two were never used by people 200 years removed from immigration.

The term people of color sounds so Jim Crow but yet the Demofrauds still use it like they did back during the civil rights movement.

The coolest term was Afro-American. Frick that’s 100% American by God.

A solid example of how this is about power and nothing more.

If the phrase Colored Person would enrage you, but you'd insist a person be called Person of Color, you're a fricking idiot. But the fact that the affronted group insists on it, despite it being literally the same words in reverse shows that it's all about forcing you to comply and nothing to do with the words used.

It was ridiculous to begin with. Only white liberals in academia are dum enough to believe that black was offensive.
