You haven't heard him talk, apparently. He has charm, charisma, and does an amazing job framing complex issues so everyday people can understand them.

As an example, he's the one who started the whole "weird" thing. 8+ years of Trump and no one before Walz thought to sum him up with the most accurate word in the English dictionary, a word relatable to anyone he speaks with.....the mofo is just plain weird.

her and trump just doubled down on their own policies. More about having someone that will echo your talking points, not bring you new voters.

Trumps vp pick also brings nothing to the table for electoral college.

This is true.
Trump is in position to win regardless of whom he picked for VP.
So, he made a pick reflective of MAGA continuation into the future.

That will just about finish the realignment of the party for the new right.
Just a few McCain/Bush political machines left in a few states to remove and it is done.

For Kamala and the D's, keeping the Obama coalition is going to become and more difficult, until it implodes. With this cowardly pick, it shows that the party is already cracking up.

This pick shows that the D's are worried about the electability of their choices with the many coalitions they need.

And they just chose to run a prevent defense rather than being aggressive. Playing for the win.

They do this knowing the "home field advantage" of the MSM.
But that advantage is not the end all be all as it used to be.

Trump is out there doing podcasts. Kamala doesn't interviews...
Which one do you think reaches the public?

Walz is a moderate (see his time in Congress) with a solid record going back 6 years as a governor in a Midwest state, unlike Shapiro with tons of red flags in his past and only 1 election for governor against an insane Trumpalo.

Picking him also doesn't put a crucial Senate seat in Arizona at risk in 2026.

His biggest positive is likely the couch fricker's biggest negative - he's an attack dog. He'll be able to prosecute the case against Trump and Vance effectively for the next 90+ days, helping to drive voter turnout for the good guys.

I am betting Shapiro and Bashear saw their political futures burn after a likely Nov loss. I think both passed.

Kelly likely was a go. I am surprised he wasnt the pick honestly.

Waltz is a solid moderate based on his record. He’s popular among white
Mid-westerners…

The hammer & sickle.

The commie labor unions are very pro Walz.

So all you tradesmen and auto workers out there prepare to be #Unionproud and take your marching orders from unabashed Communists and fist yourselves in the arse as usual, cause you’re fricking stupid.

Remind again, how many great union jobs on the XL pipeline were proudly aborted by Biden and the Dem’s Day 1?

Bernie “I’m a fricking Communist” Sanders is his strongest advocate is all you need to know.

His policies and statements are definitively not moderate. Shapiro was a better moderate choice.

That isn’t really up for debate and there are as many videos of him saying pretty moronic things as there are of Harris.

Let’s be honest here, though, you would have declared any one of the choices as “solid”. It is simply the nature of you progressives to fall in line. Different face of the same cult-like fervor seen with the ultimate Trump supporters.

He is nowhere near as strong of a choice as Shapiro or Kelly. It is possible he was weaker than Bashear, but I don’t know enough about him and I don’t think he was ever going to be an option.

I believe Bannon said everyone would turn her down back in the spring when they were talking about a replacement for Biden. He was saying no one with a political future was going to take a chance with her.

Either this is a lie, or you're being ignorant again.

Walz is a generic moderate on policy, you're just so extremely far right that you view that as progressive. That's your problem, not his.

The ability to do sign language which may be helpful in some meetings.

Making excuses for rioters and setting up a hotline for people who dared not wear a mask is generic moderate policy?

It's generic leftist policy for sure, but moderate?

In the real world, yes.

In your weird epistemic bubble, obviously not.

Ladders to get over the border wall - his comment

Transgender surgeries on children without parental consent

His views on police

His allowing of the burning of his own state in 2020

Shapiro is moderate.

Walz is not.

Not to mention, he only has a 55% approval rating in his own state, a state that is pretty solidly blue and has been a Democrat state since 1972.

Shapiro was 64% in PA.

Despite the anti-Israel wing of the Democratic Party, I still would have gone with Shapiro.

Even with his recent other issues.

2020 Biden- he already said he was picking a black woman.

2016 Clinton and everyone else felt the election was a forgone conclusion

2008 Obama had to pick a “blue collar” white guy

Each election is different. Harris isn’t anywhere as popular or liked as either of those candidates for president.

This is clearly anecdotal, but I lived in Minnesota for three years and have many friends there.

It’s redder than you think.

And it almost went for Trump in 2016.

I would not be shocked at all if Trump wins Minnesota.
