Richard Spencer is what happens when the left finds a whackadoodle no one talks to or has heard of, puts him on the talkshow circuit and tells him they will give him interviews if he claims to be some kind of Alt-Right leader.

He is really good as socializing white people's success stories As though he personally deserves credit for being the same color as successful people. He is a "social contract" type if I had to guess.

Have no problem with him, most of what he says is true, it's his conclusions that I disagree with.

IMO, I just don't see why we need a NAAWP or groups like that. White people have advanced pretty far without them. It just seems like people are afraid of no longer being on the top of the social food chain as white people. Equality scares them.

Ever notice that the only nations in the world in which increased "diversity" is pushed are majority white nations? Stop asking how far whites have gotten and ask where they are going. Take a look at the nations where this wonderful "equality" and "diversity" are most entrenched and ask yourself if they are more or less fractured than they were before.

SirWinston, I don't disagree with you. However, what makes me uncomfortable about some white nationalist rhetoric is that some of it calls for making Western nations completely white. If they had their way, I would be shipped off to some other country.

It needn't be 100% white. The US was roughly 85% white for the vast majority of it's existence. It was under this condition that it became a super power. The strengths of racial diversity are a myth.

Breitbart cited Richard Spencer as an intellectual leader of the alt-right movement and said that the alt-right media empire "coalesced around Richard Spencer during his editorship of Taki's Magazine."

He was editor of Taki's Magazine from January 2008 to January 2010, and he founded AlternativeRight.com in 2010.

quote:

There are many things that separate the alternative right from old-school racist skinheads (to whom they are often idiotically compared), but one thing stands out above all else: intelligence. Skinheads, by and large, are low-information, low-IQ thugs driven by the thrill of violence and tribal hatred. The alternative right are a much smarter group of people — which perhaps suggests why the Left hates them so much. They’re dangerously bright.

The origins of the alternative right can be found in thinkers as diverse as Oswald Spengler, H.L Mencken, Julius Evola, Sam Francis, and the paleoconservative movement that rallied around the presidential campaigns of Pat Buchanan. The French New Right also serve as a source of inspiration for many leaders of the alt-right.

The media empire of the modern-day alternative right coalesced around Richard Spencer during his editorship of Taki’s Magazine. In 2010, Spencer founded AlternativeRight.com, which would become a center of alt-right thought.

Alongside other nodes like Steve Sailer’s blog, VDARE and American Renaissance, AlternativeRight.com became a gathering point for an eclectic mix of renegades who objected to the established political consensus in some form or another. All of these websites have been accused of racism.

The so-called online “manosphere,” the nemeses of left-wing feminism, quickly became one of the alt-right’s most distinctive constituencies. Gay masculinist author Jack Donovan, who edited AlternativeRight’s gender articles, was an early advocate for incorporating masculinist principles in the alt-right. His book, The Way Of Men, contains many a wistful quote about the loss of manliness that accompanies modern, globalized societies.

From what I've heard from him, my guess is that 90% of the poli board agrees with 90% of what he believes.

I personally don't feel this way, but I will admit that some do. I think that Japanese culture is now superior to Western culture in most ways because our culture has regressed so much (in large part due to massive immigration and the effects of cultural leftism among our school systems over the past 40 years).

Japan is in a massive crisis at the moment, much more severe than anything in the West. 20 years of stagnation, an alarmingly low birthrate, and the possibility they have to remilitarize given China's aims in the South China Sea. I don't know how they are going to get themselves out of that situation.

It's probably time for Japan to rebuild its militarily. Germany too.

I hope that the 10% difference will keep him on the fringe. I don't know what his realistic expectations are.

Right here is the difference between nationalist and supremecist. It's one thing to take pride in your culture. That's a good thing. To think yours is better than everyone else's is just ignorant. You clearly haven't exposed yourself to much else.

Our culture is superior

Modern Medicine
Scientific Method
Gender Equality
Sexual Acceptance
Liberal Democracy
Capitalism
Destroyed Slave Trade

Pretty much everything that has lifted the world up has come from Western European Culture.

Dont forget the arts, city planning, societal norms and etiquettes, etc.

Even Moscow, Kiev, Tokyo, etc have really shaky city planning and infrastructure compared to Western cities

I'd argue that American culture has exceeded its European roots. Having a less anti-Semitic culture has allowed Jews to contribute in a way they usually weren't allowed to, historically, in Europe. Jews have won 185 Nobel Prizes (around 20% of all prizes). 118 or so of them have been Americans. Even the contributions of American Blacks, such as Jazz (which was a massive export around the world) and hip-hop (which has become a major export). Pretty much every where in the world wears American style clothing rather than English inspired clothing. There are other numerous examples which shows America has exceeded Europe in a massive way.
