If senatorial duties included babysitting their daughters, I understand.

They don’t.

It doesn't. Democrats couldn't give a frick about morality. The Republican party is full of idiots who want to feel good about themselves, so they vote for someone who will vote against everything they believe it. It's honestly an amazing phenomenon.

Democrats would vote for literally anybody with a D behind his or her name.

I would argue, it's more relevant in a governing type position (governor, president) than in a legislative type position, where all I really give a shite over is whether you vote how I like or not.

It doesn't.

Vitter lost because he's robotic. His lack of charisma made his hooker thing an issue he couldn't overcome.

Moore lost because he's an embarrassment to Alabama. A snake oil salesman using religion to inflate his profile.

Getting kicked out of office twice is a pretty good tell.

Youre absolutely right. It only comes in to play when someone claims to be governing with "high morals", then his/her morals are up for debate. Ol' boy Moore is the one who brought morality to the fight.

Can't trust them not to do things out of self interest over national interest. Although that's how 95% of Congressmen act anyway.

I would say lying and cheating to win at any cost would be more impactful than wanting to date girls half your age.

For the 856th time, there were many reasons not to vote for Moore even before any of these latest allegations.

The guy is a charade

By all means, melt on

Isnt that a little ironic, after the scores of posters on this very board who daily proclaimed that they didn't care about anything but the seat staying republican.

It’s like coaching, you want a really nice guy like les miles not a douche like Saban right. Imagine being a pats fan, stuck with belichik all this time

In football you see the wins and losses on the field, clear as day. In politics the wins and losses are on the back page (economy, jobs, trade deals..) and the game is described to you according to someone’s opinion, without mentioning the score.
