This must be what you are referring to.
Not necessarily just that article. Race pimps have been threatening businesses for decades. It's an industry standard in the racism business. I just assumed Stacy was making rounds threatening businesses in ATL to get them on her side or else.

Big corporations are notorious cowards when it comes to politics and this doesn t surprise me.
That's because they are following the PR advice from the marketing and HR folks.

Easy. Coke is woke but Pepsi is worker.
Market share man, damn what’s right or wrong.

Sounds like he is saying that black people can’t own Coca Cola stock. That’s pretty racist.

He means "please don't cancel us, SJWs!"

I think it’s stupid of any corporation to get involved in wokeness. All they need to say is we produce and sell a Carmel based sugary drink and that’s all we do. We are not going to be involved in politics.
All you have to do is go back to a few weeks after the Floyd stuff last summer to see major corporations do exactly this. it was like they were in a race to see who could alienate their customer base the fastest, in an attempt to virtue signal harder for something that was mostly a non-story. And when a company would get called on it on their Facebook page or Twitter or wherever, the 20 something women's study graduate they hired to run their social media would double down on pissing off their customers and then claim it was not a political stance but a human rights one.
They'd fall silent when you'd ask them about the human rights abuses in the countries they manufacture the goods they then sell to the West.
Can't tell you how many main stream normal companies I decided to never spend a dime with after having been a customer for decades. Eddie Bauer was one that I remember that was just over the top and I hated to see that, because I have always loved their stuff.
The problem is that there are enough idiots now inside each of these companies that are behind this that what you are asking for, and what I think most people would truly want, is impossible because they are of the mind that "silence is violence" and that remaining apolitical is akin to being told to "shut up and dribble."

Would really like to see some red states ban soft drinks from being purchased with SNAP/EBT benefits since Coca Cola wants to jump into the political ring about shite that has no effect on their business. After all, those sugary soft drinks lead to diabetes and obesity that disproportionately affects people of color in low income communities that already lack access to health care. We need to be concerned for their health

The only people without ID are either severely mentally disabled or are criminals hiding from the law.
When Giuliani was NYC's mayor, one way they fixed the "broken windows" was to enforce low level crimes like peeing on the street, jumping turnstiles, petty theft and such. If the perp didn't have ID, they were taken in and finger printed. This revealed a great many criminals with outstanding major warrants.

So glad I stopped drinking/buying their product a couple of months ago. This was entirely for my health, but this is a nice and timely side benefit.

Great idea. Georgia should be the first state to do this.

If you can do it for a political campaign, surely we can do this for something as crucial as an ID, right? Given all the things you currently need an ID for in this day and age, it seems that this goal would solve not just the issue with having one to vote, but having one for any and all purposes.
I think you are saying what I have seen as the obvious solution to this "ID problem."
This entire 'problem' could be solved with one hundredth the effort/$$/media attention paid to wail about it on every precinct election.
IF they were worried that ID was the 'real reason' these 2 or 3 dozen people in the USA were having problems registering to vote, they could send a limousine with an celebrity attendant to each of them, prepare them a catered meal, take them to get their ID, give them tickets to a Broadway show.
But that is not the case and they know it - the only thing that NO IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED" helps is to input hundreds of thousands of illegal 'votes' into any precienct where they might need a few more votes to edge out the opponent. they know it - we know it - they know that they are lying - they know that we know they are lying, but they do it because they can.
When you have the entire DC swamp, the national 'news' media, the educational establishment, the entertainment playpen, the hi-tech wannabe oligarchs all spewing the same scripted lies and 'cancelling' anyone who tries to raise any smidgen of truth and and reason onto the topic it is a hard row to hoe trying to get any traction on solving the real PROBLEM.
Instead we waste all our time, money, energy, and hopes for the future in fighting these unwinnable spit ball fights over trivial problems all the while the DEMs cement their future against any possibility of a truthful, reasonable, practical, maintainable government ever be re-established in the USA. We are doomed to be unthinking participants in an insect level society.
