Let’s lower welfare benefits to a set amount so people don’t get extra benefits for having more kids . We can take the money we save and spend it on stopping global warming . It’s a win win if you believe in global warming.

Hey let's try and connect two completely unrelated issues.

I'm glad you acknowledge that your command of the subject you started a thread on is roughly equal to your command of electromagnetic fields.

That's been the point all along.

You're just the resident counter.

I will bite but I disagree with your premise. It’s intellectully lazy.

The climate is changing and always has..despite what Lawrence O’Donnell says most conservatives agree with this. What we don’t agree with is that it should be the basis for raising taxes, carbon credits, redistribution of wealth and various laws/Regs politicians use to control our lives under the guise of “climate change”.

However, below are my top 5 reasons I know climate change politics is a scam:

1) At least two UN studies used as the basis for man made climate changes have been altered (public knowledge albeit disputed) to support the hypothesis.

2) All solutions involve restricting western economies and a group of people/companies/countries all making a shitload of money. Taxes, carbon credits and paying off third world countries aren’t about saving the planet...they’re about somebody getting paid.

3) All projections from earlier models have been proven now to be totally wrong. Why did they change the term from Global Warming to Climate Change? Because it quit warming you putz.

4) I actually understand scale. Using the last 200 years as a trend for worldwide climate is like thinking you’re going blind because you can’t see when you blink. It was much warmer through vast periods of human history. IN FACT, the reason the temp is rising now is because we’re coming off a long scale cooling that occurred after the mideval warming period (which was warmer than now).

5) I’m not a sucker

But please...lecture us all about all of that climate change stuff you learned from the weather channel (whose founder also thought it was bullshite BTW) and by watching the academy awards.

I'll answer for Pman because, well, it's the same answer for 30 pages.

Despite you taking the time to spell out your reasons, the truth is, you only believe all that because you're a conspiracy theorist who simply let your political bias make your choice for you.

Oh, and Pman will tell you he knows this is true because he can count.

So do you think the conclusions of their research is bogus?

It is only not bogus to the extent that the data entered is accurate and relevant. We have seen multiple instances of the most touted data of the time being manipulated and/or later disproved. Given the financial dependence of the "scientists," it's easy to fudge data even if done unintentionally or subconsciously.

Science is never settled. The government action side of the GW debate constantly claiming that "the science is settled" and that it shouldn't be debated is also cause for me to call bullshite on the whole premise.

Right. I don't deal with modeling. Sounds like you do. Let me be the first to say congrats.
For what?

Unfortunately for me your experience with computer modeling is not sufficient evidence to qualify you as superior to the sum of all research on the matter.
I know. You are fully willing to supplant your ignorance with other people's ignorance. I don't care whose knowledge you attempt to proxy off of. Honestly, kinda glad you aren't trying to grab onto mine. Dont' need or want any groupies.

False. And it's a silly claim. Even the IPCC proports doubts on non-man made forcing > than all CO2 (antro and natural) combined. It's not like I haven't already posted it or something...

Actually most climate models could be considered a N-dimensional hyperspace.

So it's not your area of expertise yet you feel like you have some sort of special knowledge on the subject to tell us it's all bullshite

Sounds like something a bullshitter would do

You are not an authority on this matter

What is the conspiracy that I'm missing?

ETA - And I hope all of you realize that if you take this stance you are in fact subscribing to a conspiracy theory.

Nice retort

If you must know I'm a hetero white male and am not currently enrolled in college. I am not for open borders.

I just chose to stop taking conspiracy theories seriously a long time ago. Apparently some people here still take them seriously.

-"Climate Scientist" caught red handed manipulating data.
-Proposing addition taxes and accords
-Farmer almanac being more accurate than models from multi-million dollar labs.
-Ice caps should have done melted already according to Gore.
-Settled Science. (Science is not settled if you can't even test a hypothesis you mental midget.)

I would call it more of a fraud than a hoax.

Gore is a politician. Not a scientist.

His amplified scare tactics are ridiculous but that doesn't mean that there isn't real science on the matter.
