How can it be a hoax, when it is a proven fact that climate is a changing.

That's why liberals adopted the phrase "climate change" instead of global warming. The earth's climate changes.. everyone agrees on that. So now the libs thought they could hold the moral and philosophical high ground on the issue because the climate will always be changing. With global warming they boxed themselves in with only one direction to go.

Really a trivial part of this discussion

Actually, the ability to manipulate language to the point that those who disagree with you nevertheless adopt what you want something to be called pretty much unabashedly away from what they REALLY WANT IT TO BE sounds like a doozy of a conspiracy in and of itself.

Only in the sense that con men and thieves "conspire" to fleece people out of their money. After the con becomes accepted as real, it just becomes part of the lives of those taken in by it. Like a cult members simply accept all the bizarre rituals and terminology of the cult. At that point anyone not a member of the cult are part of some "conspiracy" to undermine their lofty goals.

This is actually fairly easy to do over long periods of time when you have the amount of press coverage that the Whitehouse has. The term homicide bomber just came into existence out of thin air and every news outlet adopted it as part of their vernacular.

EDIT: Evidently I'm mistaken. It was FOX NEWS that coined this stupid term.

Phil, 'global warming' and 'climate change' is just a mechanism for government to control an aspect of the economy and thus individual buying habits. No different than what religions do.

And you sure do hate you some religion, boy!

Nah, that's a dumbass term that I'm pretty sure is only used on Fox news.

There is no such entity as "the scientists". To use that term is a "tell" to the confirmation bias involved in the hive mind of the warmists.

Well I don't know all of these people by name and even if I did, it would be a bit cumbersome to list them all.

The overwhelming majority of scientists believe man made climate change is real. Personally i'm just glad that we have people here to tell us that it's all bullshite and just a big scheme by the globalist liberals to deceive us....but don't worry. They're not conspiracy theorists.

I don't think it's a conspiracy. There are obviously many many people who are true believers at all levels of involvement.

There are also many many opportunists using climate change as a wedge issue to further their financial and political goals.

I suppose if more than one person is coordinating with another in the dishonest fashion described above, then that would qualify as a "conspiracy" by the strict definition of the word. If you believe that it is happening without having direct evidence, then again by strict definition of the word, it would be a theory.

By such strict application of language, any belief you hold without direct un-falsifiable evidence about the motives of any group of people is a "conspiracy theory".

You are trying to blend strict application of language with a colloquialism in order to portray people you disagree with as a group of nuts similar to the people who think the moon landing was fake, or that 9/11 was an inside job by the Bush Admin. Frankly, it's a bit childish.

ETA: If you wanted to have a real discussion about why people are skeptical about climate change claims and policy decisions you could have done so. Instead, clearly just wanted to create an opportunity to call people on the opposite side of the aisle "conspiracy theorists". I repeat, it's a bit childish.

Literally no one denies the climate changes..in fact it is the backbone of the overwhelming majority of actual scientists who know "global warming is gonna destroy humanity as we know it" is simply a money grab scam.

Well other than the fact that I've been proven right by some of the responses. Even Trump thinks it is a conspiracy.

How do you define "conspiracy"? How does it differ from a "con game"? Is a street hustler playing 3 card monty "conspiring" to take your money, or is 3 card monty simply a con game?

Our planet's climate has been changing since it first came into existence and it has survived every change since (catastrophic and otherwise), most occurring before man even entered the picture.

And I honestly don't believe that introducing any new laws, opinions, taxes, or government regulations are going to have any significant impact on that equation. JMHO

I would think most people understand that those guys are slight of hand artists. Typically conspiracy theories involve a powerful group of actors conspiring together to achieve some common goal. And typically it would be considered immoral and in some cases illegal to engage in this behavior.

The belief that the overwhelming opinion of the scientific community in this instance is the result of subversive political schemes is by definition a conspiracy theory.

This is complete bullshjt. You have nothing.. nothing to form a basis of that claim other than true believer catechism.
But maybe I'm wrong. What is the basis of your claim?

If it was real then the people hyping it up would actually want to do something to stop it other then take our money ?

Let’s lower welfare benefits to a set amount so people don’t get extra benefits for having more kids . We can take the money we save and spend it on stopping global warming . It’s a win win if you believe in global warming.

Let’s put large tariffs on anything imported we can make here , that way ships are not causing global warming bringing us products we can make here .
