climate change is real and humans are causing it.
So let me get this straight.... you believe human interaction is 100% the cause of all climate change?

If the ONLY place you can get funded to do research counter to the dogma is the fossil fuel companies, then you just made my point dumb arse.
That statement is of course based on a false premise
Science counters itself
The "science" that the fossil fuel companies put out was junk science and they even admit that they knew it was junk
Not surprising that Taxing Authority is praising this post. He's a moron.

But step 1 is acknowledging the facts so you don't seem crazy or ignorant when you enter in such a discussion
The funding issue makes this a genuinely challenging thing to do. Especially given that while it is true that most studying the issue agree, there are some pretty bright frickers out there that do not.

You'd have a much more solid footing to combat left wing craziness if you acknowledged the science and then brought forth rational arguments
See funding problem...........ditto.
quote:Denial of the political influence on the subject isn't a rational starting point either.
Climate change denial is not the starting point for a rational argument.

No
Didn't say that
In fact you'd have one hell of an imagination or be incredibly stupid to think that I did.

quote:Ah he infailable priest model.
An appeal to authority isn't bad when you're referring to the authority that actually studies the matter.
quote:So appeal to authority and bandwagon.
The facts state that the overwhelming amount of people that study this shite have concluded that man made climate change is real
quote:And a strawman to top it off!
It is more logical to "believe" the consensus of science than to believe people who believe in conspiracies because of their political affiliation.
Nice job.
The poor quality “modeling” and dishonest presentation of data is well documented for anyone that has bothered to look and knows what they are looking at. It has nothing to do with political ideology for many.

Boom!
It was just tooooo easy.
If you set it up right, these stupid fricks will walk into it reliably.

Some pretty bright motherfrickers think and believe a great number of falsehoods

See funding problem...........ditto.
There is no funding issue to have a rational discussion about possible solutions

Why are you not as critical of the people who are pushing the "climate change is a hoax" angle? Do they not stand to benefit from their claims?
I have mede it pretty clear what I believe - the 'hoax' is in the prog/DEM/MSM usage it as another tool to oppose any conservative idea.
Climate Change is a historical fact. Perhaps we will never know the 'perfect' temperature for the earth.
btw - do you have any idea what the 'perfect' temperature is? Has anyone ever established that data point as a fact? or even as a suggestion?
If not, then why are we so sure that the earth ought to be cooler than it is now? It is obvious that prog/DEM/MSM mouthpieces think it is too warm now.
What is historically accurate is that the earth is recovering from an ICE AGE. Now, I may not have a fancy degree in atmospheric studies, but I don't have any idea how you can recover from an ICE AGE without warming the planet. Do you have any idea how that could be done? OR do you even agree that the earth should recover from an ICE AGE?
I have answered all your questions - except for you curiosity as to my motivation.
So I will now question YOUR motivation. Why are you hopping onto the same political movement that is indistinguishable from other movement from the same group that has been applied to
poverty,
racism,
gun control,
immigration,
etc
etc
etc.
The HOAX is the prog/DEM/MSM 'outrage' concerning 'climate change' which is no different than their outrage at every OTHER disingenuous campaign they have ever run.
Why are YOU falling into lock step with the 'err body's a racissss!!!" group???

Do you also believe that vaccines cause autism? What other conspiracies do you believe in?
You clearly are here to troll and have no desire to participate in a logical conversation on this topic. You are also a living, breathing fallacy.
Ironically, your autism:vaccine false equivalency is better support for those you are trolling.

Left wingers are in fact wrong about a lot of shite like the things you listed below.
Right wingers happen to be wrong about climate change
Is that so hard to believe?

THAT's the point. If the only place people who have ideas that run counter to the accepted dogma can go to to get funding are places that are agenda driven...........sheesh man, at some point, you're going to have to apply YOUR brain to the subject rather than just appeal to other people's brains.
The reality is, if we were talking about SCIENCE.........there would be a fairly copious amount of Federal dollars being doled out to people who think they can counter what we think about Climate change.
Ya know. Cause THAT is how SCIENCE really works.

Well to be fair it's not completely crazy. People that believe in one conspiracy theory are likely to believe in others.
Take our president for example
-Believes climate change is a conspiracy? Check
-Believes there might be a connection between vaccines and autism? Check
-Was at one point a birther? Check
Either he believes those things (hopefully not) or he is pandering to people who believe those things. Either way they're all stupid beliefs.

Ahh.......so now I have Powerman........a person who admits to possess no personal skill on the subject........arbitrating between two groups of people who have FAR greater skill on the subject.............and your method of arbitration? "Well, there's more on the one side".

That is what you are going with?
I don't think Cell Phones cause brain cancer. . .therefore I don't believe in brain cancer. That's what you are saying here.

Except in this case the overwhelming majority of people who study the issue conclude that man made climate change is real. A very small percentage have doubts.

You are supplying NOTHING to the discussion.
Your entire contribution is, "welp, I counted the knowledgeable people on one side and counted the knowledgeable people on the other..........I'm in the room with the most.........see how smart I am!!!!"
