behind the scenes? They have to be imagining the exodus of listeners from their shows and what this will mean to their job security.

Haven't even thought about this but if people really do stop watching/listening to sports then they will def be hurt.

People may still watch/listen to highlight/after shows but still should be down.

I don't listen it very often and will only listen to them talk about college football. I will listen to Clay Travis driving to work on week days.

Radio in general has become complete garbage. Rock and country music is dead, even oldies stations are hit and miss.

I used to listen to him. About 2 weeks ago, they took him off our local radio station and replaced him with Golic and Wingo. Now we get Golic and Wingo on 3 stations at the same time.

The stations are all owned by the same company and have been for years. They played ESPN/Local stuff on one and straight ESPN on the other except during Golic and Wingo. Then they'd have Clay Travis on one and Golic and Wingo on the other. Rumor is they didn't like his stance on Covid so they pulled him from their lineup.

God forbid we hear something other than what is the soy garbage from Golic, his effeminate son and Wingo.

SVP & Rusillo was the only ESPN radio show in history that I listened to regularly or as scheduled listening. Freddie Coleman & Fitz, one of the very few others I enjoyed, when in the car.

Was exclusively listening and viewing VSIN since it's 2017 inception. All day.

Before that my daily sports radio was Vegas stations for Cokin, Pauly, Mitch, and Blessing,etc..

During LSU Football season will listen to 104.5 BR's daily local shows religiously, but only if in traffic during the rest of the year.

Otherwise, have quit all since pandemic..

Now, just binge Podcasts wall to wall, nothing else, no sport talk..Patrick Bet David's Valuetainment, Joe Rogan Exp, Jocko Willink, Robert Kiyosaki, David Icke, Seb Gorka, Epoch Times, Tom Fitton, Dan Bongino,etc..

Are you suggesting the white middle class sports fan will be dropping sports because of “woke” athletes?
This was talked about when the olympians raised the black fist in Mexico City or when Ali changed his name and fought with the draft boards. Nothing really new here. Sports will be fine, especially in the south.

I’ve got mixed feelings about T-bob. I believe his heart is in the right place, but my God he’s an insufferable dumb-arse purposefully injecting his politics. He’s a true virtue signaler.

In my area they just replaced an oldies station with another black music station. Few people listen to live radio anymore.

This already was happening, to a degree, with Kaep. There was a lot of effort to bring folks back last season.

This isn't going to do the NFL any good. As it is spreading to all the other major professional sports now, and will hit NCAA football before you can blink, dismissing this concern could be extraordinarily costly.

There is already so much entertainment content competing for eyes it is quite dangerous to tell a significant portion of your fanbase you don't want their business.

I deleted all their apps and cancelled all my podcast subscriptions. When Whitlock went over to join Clay Travis I decided that would be my sports outlet for the foreseeable future. But I’m a sports guy, If I wanted a Marxist racial deconstruction of AmeriKKKa, I’d go to the nearest faculty lounge, pour myself a double soy chai and nod my head approvingly like a good little NPC.

I listen to Rush and, occasionally, Levine the Great One.

All the soy sports guys (what’s up, Rome) can kiss my arse.

Jp, black lives mattering and BLM Trademark, are apples and oranges in contrast.

Kap taking a knee with his buddies vs a Soros funded Marxist Organization out to fundamentally change America far beyond it's bearded name, across a myriad of matters..

Isn't even apple & orange..it's apple & skillsaw.

So many people working from home now instead of tuning in during the commute, audience has to be less than half of what it was, and that's regardless of any seasons cancelled.

The double whammy are advertisers slashing their budgets.

This whole fiasco could kill radio as we know it, regardless of sports getting cancelled.

I've quit listening because they don't have anything to talk about. Plus, I don't have a sports station in my city, so I would have to listen online anyway.

As far as music goes, streaming has destroyed the music industry. Used to be you bought entire albums and now people only listen to the few select "hits". A lot of good music is not the hits as us older people can tell you. Back in the day you would just put on an album of Led Zeppelin or Steely Dan and let it play. Now it's all a mix and new or deeper music doesn't get much of a chance.

You can bet that Gordy and Guaranty are thankful LSU is just six months removed, and reigning Natty Champs. As to keep extra and newly infused oomph in the local listenership numbers.
