Its going to save a lot of lives in the middle east, but it does impact our future. China has for years bought oil at a significant discount from Iran (since no one else would buy it). This makes it harder to compete with China. Iran has for decades paid for killings on foreign soil, instigated civil war after civil war, and generally made the world a shittier place and a place harder to do business in. It also removes the possibility of insane muslims who like to chant Death to America from having nuclear bombs, which is a mistake you cant afford to make once

In other words, I cannot articulate why this is good for me or my family so I’m gonna insult a guy on the Internet with no fear of getting my arse kicked. I’d say you are clearly the fig.

I’d say attacking a sovereign nation without congressional approval needs to benefit the American public, to at least have some level of justification.

Probably not supporting an Islamist Dictator while calling their president a traitor like Dave.
Graham is probably cooking up a plan to get his hands on some sweet minerals.

Not our problem. Should we be attacking in all the African nations where this is happening?
So, we are the world police?
Are you Lindsey Graham?

That’s a reasonable response. I respectfully disagree without congressional approval, but I don’t disagree with your premise at large.

Explain how the events of today personally benefit your family?
Explain how an American President ending the greatest state sponsored terrorist entity in the world is harmful
For your family.
Please be specific and address how each family member has been harmed.
Thanks

Congress ceded its power to the imperial presidency long ago. It died for good during the Nixon admin, but you can go all the way back to the Prize Cases with Abe Lincoln.
For me, its not a big deal. It just is what it is. Congress of the past 15 or so years is also not who I would want making war decisions. People like AOC and Rashid Tlaib have no business determining the nations security objectives

I’d say that Mooslim fomenting terrorism and screaming “death to America”’ is plenty justification to grease him. You’ll disagree though because you’d oppose any such action right up till they were sliitting your throat. Or it was a democrat politician. As unlikely as that is.

That’s not what you said….you asked someone how the events of today personally and individually improved his family’s fare in life?
Not only are you a pretentious idiot, you’re an idiot who doesn’t appreciate the power of precise language.
Try to keep the colors inside the lines when you are coloring tonite.

Does the President have authority to levy war for 90 days without
asking anyone to kiss his arse?
I’m curious

That’s not how this works though. With Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Libya…the places we have caused instability, you see massive numbers of refugees that end up all over Europe and in the US.
Though Europe is largely not our friend as conservatives, spreading Islam through one of the last Caucasian places on earth doesn’t feel good for the US long term to me.
I’ll have to agree to disagree with you boys. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe it’s good to be world police. As a general rule though, if Lindsey Graham is really for something, I’m typically against it.
