So I was about to go to bed, but then saw this at the top of my YouTube feed and figured it would interest the Poliboard: LINK

And while to be honest I don’t know shite about the CHIP program and Kimmel may be right about it, I don’t approve of him standing on top of his kid to promote this. Maybe Jimmy is right, and I think he is coming from a place of genuine heart, but he should not use his kid to promote this. This is whoring out your kid, and I disapprove of it in every case I can think of.

Just stop Jimmy. I don’t think he is deliberately being malicious here, but 10 years ago, Kimmel would tar and feather anyone who did this. He got his name as a Roast comedian, and it’s sad a former idol of mine has gone down to this level.

I’m sure Shapiro will have something to say about this tomorrow given that his daughter has the same condition and he never mentioned it before Kimmel did. I really hope Jimmy has the balls to invite him on, even though I’m sure he won’t.

The CHIP thing is a complete mischaracterization by the left/media, which isn’t at all surprising. It’s just emotional bullshite that plays to the gullible.

Hopefully Kimmel is next in the #metoo takedown

The problem I have with any show host like Kimmel is there show is to entertain and should be void of their political agenda's. I get the political jokes, but most of them have become political activists.

He has every right to speak out, but not on his show. Frick em all.

OT, but I could watch that one segment on HLN on a constant loop. The one where he was being an insufferable prick until that tranny told him if he kept it up he was going to take him outside and frick him up.

Pretty sure benjy shite his pants and then His fragile ego was so wounded he pressed charges.

Best tv ever.

I wouldn’t go that far. Kimmel is a guy who didn’t play it close to the chest, which automatically puts him in doubt. Plus it’s wanting another sexual assault victim.

Adam Carolla isn’t liking this at all though. His son recently had a health crisis, which Jimmy helped him out through some connections. On the other hand he helped Shapiro get onto Los Angeles radio and helped his career. Listening to his podcast, he’s hating the war between the two of them. I just wish Jimmy would bite the bullet and have him on.

I don’t get why you hate him so much aside from him hating Trump.

Because he is just another rush wannabe shitting out 50 poorly written books a year. I find his intensity annoying and not well suited for tv or radio

He’s a self righteous prick. I don’t care that he doesn’t like trump. My mother in law doesn’t like trump, I like her plenty.

Fight to the death: one comes out alive and healthy and the other dead: Shapiro or Kimmel?

Kimmel has turned into what he originally hated. A generic, by the numbers, hack of a comedian.

I can't wait for all of the hilarious stuff they did during the Man Show years to bite him hard in the arse.

I don't know why you're surprised, emotional appeal is the toss dive of the liberal playbook

Kimmel makes 20 or 30 million a year. He should have best health care in America.

Kimmel has got out of his lane, which was late night humor. I understand his son has problems and I am sympathetic, but this kid isn't CHIP qualified much less should be used as a political bargaining tool for the masses.

Believe it or not, I used to work for CMS (Medicare/Medicaid), the kids who qualify are the same families qualify for Medicaid. They were never going to be subject to any healthcare law changes. Medicaid funding will always remain for the absolute poor of society, specifically those who are at most risk.

This is nothing but propaganda folks.

I like Kimmel a lot, but I can't stand any of these emotional appeals in healthcare that end up resulting in shitty legislation and misplaced priorities. I say that knowing that CHIP is probably effective public healthcare spending as well given the age of the recipients.

But Americans' refusal to deal with economic realities in healthcare, specifically that rationing healthcare in some form is pretty much the only way to stop the obscene growth in expenditures, is infuriating.

We spend the third-most of any country in the world in public healthcare expenditures per capita. Yes, you read that right - outside of Norway and Switzerland, we have the highest public healthcare expenditures per person of any country in the world (disregarding private expenditures, in which we are far and away #1), and we don't even have a true public system or anything close to that. It's a cultural problem for us, not a spending problem.

The cultural problem is the concept of "Choice".

That is what differentiates us from Europe and other socialist healthcare states, including the NHS in Britain.

America wants choice. With that, socialized medicine will never work and is never a possibility.

It was stressed when I met with the NHS last June. We had a frank discussion, with their KPMG consultants in the room, the point I made was what was lacking was consumer choice. That is why healthcare costs are higher in America. There is no central route of care. Without that, costs cannot and will never be managed effectively.
