“We never really had a chance to pull it off”

Something something “authoritarian government” when speaking of Venezuela

ETA this is some representative from the Democratic Socialists of America explaining their platform

Why not wait until his show is over and just post the vid?

No offense but just start a game thread.

I'm a Tucker fan and a conservative for the record.

All I hear are "feels", no actual substance. Democratic Socialist must be like Scientology.....you have to give them your life savings before you're told what the secret beliefs are.

Anytime Tuck tried to pin him on anything deeper than "you gotta love your brother" its met with obfuscation or a dodge.

I wasn’t clear when I said I was waiting on someone I guess.

I am waiting in a parking lot for someone. And no I am not buying drugs.

Dude was a clown. But he was at least a lot less emotional than the typical Tucker guest

Of course it’ll work, because people aren’t greedy anymore.

It’s amazing that, in a free market, lots of government regulation is required to prevent robber barons from doing unscrupulous things. But under a socialist system everybody will be angelic.

The problem is, these white areas are not socialists. Do they have a lot of government? Sure. However you can own property in these white areas. Socialists areas like venezuela not so much.

Our response should be, let someone else test your theory and prove it. Until then, we aren’t fricking with the system that made us the worlds greatest super power.

Can someone explain what the hell this is about? Another Dem came right out and said we'll fix it the right way next time? That it?

Ya know, Cornell West tells Tucker he’s a Baptist, basically insinuating that good Christians should be of a socialist mindset.

As a Christian I agree that socialism in it’s purest form coupled with strong Christian convictions could work but until +95% of the citizenry has the same beliefs it won’t work and that’s particularly true if the power structures within the government are not of strong Christian faith. But since this scenario is unrealistic in a secular society we Christians turn to charitable giving which in my mind is a local form of socialism delivered with compassion and love.

So until Christ returns my generosity is better used by the local Christian rescue mission rather than sending the money to a bloated and wasteful federal government and the government waste would be 10X worse if we were a socialist country.

Christians are very charitable with regards to helping the most needy in our society but it’s the Holy Spirit working in our lives that compels us to help our brothers and sisters in need not some overreaching federal government who demands taxes and then find a way to enrich themselves and screw the citizenry.

That and you gotta treat the African and Mexican brotha's and sista's with respect. You gotta be kind to people.

That is apparently what Democratic Socialism is all about. Hugs for everyone.

A well regarded intellectual with an opportunity to explain his beliefs sounded like a first grader giving social commentary.

Early Christian communities tried it. It didn’t work for them either.

Christians are people like everybody else, and peoples’ flaws are what make the leftists’ utopias fail.

I agree there would be plenty of Christians who would not be able to handle the demands of complete selflessness, our sin nature is very real and it takes absolute conviction to overcome the destructive behavior that sin brings.

Greed will always be the “deal breaker” for the majority of Christians followed closely by pride and lust.

Socialism on any scale will never, ever, ever, ever work in an economy like the US has with 320+ million people that have vast variations of wealth. Who are you going to take the money from? No one is going to willfully give up a dime. A civil war will break out, and that’s just a fact

Yeah, I don’t think so either, complete selflessness is beyond the average person.

No need for violence. The Subjugated USA can accept the Secession of freedom-loving states and recognize the New Confederate States of America as a new and nascent nation-state.

Let Freedom Ring and God Bless the CSA!
