So where are the doomsday media reports about Dems shutting down the government and killing millions of people?
And, is this what the Dems want to advertise? "Illegal immigrant families are more important than the rest of you."
Yeah, I still don't give two shits about the government shutting down. It's actually an opportunity for the Executive Branch to service all the debt and only shut down meaningless shite. Enough of this "our credit rating will take a hit" bullshite.

My suspicion is they believe they can buffalo the republicans in to doing something stupid. They've been conditioned to expect republican surrender, so it is hard to blame them.

You're correct on all counts. The media will likely shift from blaming the party "causing" the shutdown to praising the dems for holding to their principles.
In any event, I doubt if Trump closes down the Vietnam Memorial and Mount Rushmore like his predecessor did out of spite.
