I wasn’t anymore than several other posters on this site. I live in a swing state unlike most of you. I care more about my country than my party or blowing the Orange Man. Main problem that jumps out at me re: Congressional term limits is the scary thought of a lame duck House or Senate

The packing the court thing could be fixed relatively easily, only needing a second term for Trump, and for Republicans to hold the senate.
Idiot democrats have already made the case for packing the court, so within a week of his re-election, Trump should hold a PC with the Turtle, and inform the country that together they will nominate and confirm a new SC justice every 6 months, until an amendment is passed, limiting the number.

If he’s re-elected, that may be a solution to what I am proposing. Seriously, very smart idea that will get them to vote for it. I am impressed.

Troy, you seriously proposed the solution to all of our problems here. Have Trump come out and say 6 months from now he will start packing the court unless we have all 3 of these Amendments:
1) Cement the court to 9 justices
2) Beginning with Trump’s (or his successor’s) next appointment, all justices will have 18 year terms
3) Going forward the Senate has 2 terms of 6 years and the House has 6 terms of 2 years
That’s the solution to all of our problems. That would save the country. It’s brilliant. He’d go down as one of the greatest Presidents ever simply for that. Kudos to you, my friend.

You guys realize that the number of justices, while not in the Constitution, is set by statute, right?
That statute can't change without the House of Representatives. Good luck on that.
