So, the 19th Century should be new again? Ridiculous.
People would just go apeshit over the time it takes to count paper ballots.
Plus it really opens up the process to human error.
Our elections are secure. This whole drama is total nonsense…

If anyone remembers Scantrons from school, our system (Denton County TX) is a form of that. You show your photo ID, get a ballot, fill in the box beside your preferred candidate (or choice for items such as bond elections), and insert it into the box. Counting is automatic but you have the paper ballots as backup.

For years France was overwhelmed by voting fraud like the U.S. is now, However, several yrs ago France went to paper ballots & ever since France has had zero issues with voter fraud. They were able to get all the ballots counted & results were announced on election nites.
