I think echo chambers either way are dangerous...but a "just the news" station which simply reads and explains the news would be nice. Not enough show text from bills/law cases/etc.

Agreed with this. Seems like a huge market of people wanting unbiased news, but then again the people watching the news are liberals at home all morning that don't have any work. And a lot of women want to be told what to think.

Yeah, I’m not looking for that. I want neutral unbiased news.

I don’t mind commentary, but I don’t want it masked as news.

You’re making shite up. Nobody that I saw said Biden “won” that debate. The entire reporting was about how confused Biden seemed to be. They kept showing the video “we finally beat Medicare”.

I disagree. I think we need a news outlet that reports just the facts. No opinions. No editorials.

This is impossible. Opinions are at play when they decide what is newsworthy, when they decide what is within, or without, the Overton Window.

RAV is good. Maybe a little slant in certain directions that you can argue isn’t America First.

Good luck with that. They're ALL biased in some direction.

My usual day of news gathering during the week:

Visit Wall Street Journal and read some other online industry bits.
Visit Tigerdroppings, both OT and PoliBoard. Yes, the bias leans pretty far to the right, but I like to sort through the various different links, even if from biased sources.
Watch ABC News in the evening. I like the local news on that station the best for the area I'm in, and then watching David Muir's stuff can balance out the day of PB news.

Lay down my head to sleep at night, knowing we're led by crooks and schoudrols from all political spectrums.

If you want to stay informed, the best
strategy is to stay away from news silos that cater to your own point of view. Newsmax is one of those, as is OAN, if that’s still around. And of course avoid Steve Bannon’s increasingly absurd chatter…

We need a simply news outlet without opinions or panels. But viewers don’t want that.

Just look at ESPN/sports news as a prime example.

NFL Primetime, no longer part of the main ESPN lineup like back in the old days.

Sportscenter, no longer just highlights and box scores, nor is it rerun like it used to be during the mornings. Now we have these shite shows with every look at me personality lining up so declare their "hot take" of the day.

PBS is only network anywhere close to being neutral. You can't expect neutrality from commercial networks.

I watch them on YT. (Newmax)

I also like news nation for a more neutral presentation (oddly enough, even Cuomo comes off fairly impartial these days)

Newsmax ain’t conservative enough? They just went public.

Isn’t Newsmax considered far-right? There’s a significant difference between being conservative and being far-right.
