If it's a bad day for LGBTQABDXYZ and a bad day for liberal democracy, then chances are pretty darn good that it's a REAL good day for Poland.

Considering it’s an unnatural country with a history of around 80 years I’m ok with it going away.

Few countries love the US more than Poland and it's not the leftist part of the US that they love.

Perhaps the most conservative Catholic country on the planet.

Yep. And they love the United States and are very patriotic in their own right. If we ever go belly up, I'm going to learn Polish and move to Krakow.

If I had to leave this country, Poland would be on my short list.

Which would you rather see it as a part of? The Third Reich or the USSR (again)?

Yeah but the close elections and ideological trends are concerning. They need to reestablish the monarchy before they have to deal with revolution.

This. Poland, and the Poles, have been Europe's punching bag for a millennia.

We liberated the Pols from Nazi concentration camps in WWII and then liberated them from the Soviet Union.

To his day Polish citizens honor the American soldiers' sacrifice at memorials across the country and place flowers and care for the graves of fallen American soldiers in towns throughout Poland.

And that's my only concern. At least there you know where your leadership stands though.

Eta: they're just geographically fricked.
