Okay, I’ll play along. Under your scheme, people register guns so that the government can kept track of gun ownership, now what?
Same government that says it cannot keep track of a couple of million REGISTERED visitors that overstay their VISA... will somehow track 100+ firearms.

I mean.. how silly does one have to be to believe the government is capable of this?

Why do you trust the government though but not civilians?

That's the problem with your mindset, it operates from the baseline of "government = good and just"

Next thing you know, the OP will require all gun owners to tattoo their registration number on their forearm...because that's NEVER happened before...

Just not the standard required to infringe upon the rights it protects, apparently.

its often said that there are 300000000 guns in private ownership or about one for every person. its also said this week that there is a mass murder in the country every day [ this may be inflated msm bull] but ratioing the two numbers you get about one shooting per million private guns owned. an incident rate of 0.0001 percent. in the statistics business that is a six sigma performance rate, very close to best possible. folks that want to improve on that failure rate really should start with identifying regulatory stuff that does a better job. I do not know of any.....

don't quibble with my math I lost my slide rule, and you will have lost the point

I don’t think you realize how much a preban full auto AK47 costs.

Also, what do you think the founders’ intent was behind the 2nd Amendment?

What’s the theory behind what the government would do if civilians didn’t own AKs

ike cars, medicine, houses, etc.... the government confiscating that stuff too?

Ownership of all of those things is not a constitutional right

Individually, cars, narcotics and house fires kill more people than legally possessed firearms per year, even thought they are more strictly controlled and registered.

Any other dumb ideas you wish to share?

Oh you were thinking about pointing out that I said legally possessed firearms? So what law will you pass that doesn’t infringe on law abiding citizens constitutional rights that will prevent already illegal firearms from getting into the hands of already prohibited persons?

we need to be able to better CONTROL who owns and uses guns. We need to be able to know who the law abiding gun owners are so we can crack down on illegal gun owners, similar to knowing who legal immigrants are so we can crack down on illegal immigrants.
It wouldn’t solve our problems but it could help

You don't have the first clue kid. I bet you are one of the usual low-IQ dims that thinks AR-15's can be banned because they didn't exist when the 2nd Amendment was drafted.

I don’t think you should be allowed to speak or express yourself anywhere, but there is this document that says it’s your right, it mentions a few others as well..

So we have the right to protect ourselves. I’m not against the 2nd amendment. You can have as many guns as you want.

Now answer my question.

They are scared ishtless of the thought of a single person shooting them ina public place (odds, lower than being struck by lightening and winning the lottery on the same day).

But... they have no fear of an entire army, police force, etc having a virtually unlimited supply of weapons.

And to top it off. they are begging to have government remove their last and only defense against all of the threats above

It’s a lot of stupid.
