Can anyone deny that DeSantis was propped up to stop Trump? In 2028 can he run for President w/o the GOP establishments money and help?

You are correct. I think that bonehead on X shopped the pic. There is no doubt Jeb, Romney, were behind DeSantis to get rid of Trump though.

In both cases its obviously ridiculous.
The traditional GOP brokers saw DeSantis as a compromise between MAGA and their form of conservative governance. We could get the good parts of MAGA without the sideshow controversy and fluff.
Unfortunately DeSantis couldn't execute. I'm not sure he would have beaten Trump even if he ran a great campaign, the fervor for Trump is just too much.

His policies have already forced dozens of sleepers from their embedded positions as judges and career paper pushers alike are throwing themselves in front of the changes being made by the Executive Branch.
They're forced to expend/expose political assets that have taken decades to get into place, and it's only been 4 months.
