If thats your standard, you would never vote for a presidential candidate again.

I assume turning orange is the proper way to do it.

Trump is the ONLY Republican to win the popular vote since 2004 and only the SECOND since 1988.

The way he is trending he might win Hispanics in 2028 if he could run.

You need to send him your advice today!

The only way a Republican will win any time before his voters die off is by imitating him.

Things were so bad under the previous administration that people went for the alternative. Not that difficult to understand. Also banked on the sexist vote in the black community and to a lesser extent Hispanics. Wokeness had gone too far and they overplayed their hand assuming all minorities will vote the same because they usually do. Black men weren’t having a woman who announces her pronouns on their watch. It was a perfect storm for the R’s

They also had a candidate who couldn’t campaign because she was foisted on them and couldn’t distance herself from the previous administration run by a corpse.

Trump’s delivery and the way he goes about things shoots himself in the foot more than anything. He acts like a child and is easy to exploit and bait. A lot of us look past it. Many don’t. The fact is, a good portion of the country is stupid. They vote for the man and not the actions. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve known who voted for Biden because they thought he was empathetic. And their votes count just as much as anyone on here.

You can either resist that, and call them stupid, or you can try to catch as many as you can by at least being more tactful. It is important to get as many folks on your side or not repulsed as possible. The way he does things is absolutely unnecessary. He can still get what he wants accomplished without the name calling or confrontations or “owning the libs.”

Some of you guys get off on pissing off the other side profusely, not realizing their votes matter.

Well said. appeasing a cult that is 20% of the electorate and a few terminally online twitter warriors isn't the path to conservative victory.

I would actually love that.

Both effective leaders who know how to get things done and put aside the fluff.

I don't care about Ron, I care about effective leadership that will lead to long term governance and change done by people with my viewpoint.

If Trump 2.0 so far is any indication, that isn't him so far. I hope he rights the ship, but anyone pretending that his admin has been a success so far is deluding themselves.

Face it, the win was too big to rig because Trump drew in voters from non-traditional conservative groups, that showed to vote for him alone.

So neoconservatives aren't conservatives?

Neoliberals don't care about abortion.

That is as screwy as this thread of hoping for a losing primary candidate.

Which is essentially democrats and neverTrumpers--- rubbing it in that MAGA is hitting speed bumps. That could care less about DeSantis..

Those of you who are stilll upset DeSantis lost, wishcasting him being superior against the establishment, is counterintuitive to reality.

Not with this Congress!
One, Desantis has proven ability to assemble a legislative coalition, something Trump has repeatedly failed at. Second, who backed the leadership of this Congress? Oh yea. Trump did, because he wanted the debt ceiling lifted, Biden budget continue 2x, and now no progress on spending. Trump (and Trump supporters) cannot complain about this Congress. He got exactly the congress and congressional actions he wanted.

Let me get this straight, the guy who couldn’t beat Trump would be better at defeating the swamp than Trump even though Trump has proven time and again he is the only one willing to fight? Good grief some of y’all are stupid. I don’t know what y’all expect Trump to do on his own because he isn’t getting any help from Republicans. I mean it’s almost comical how naive some of you are

I would have liked to have seen Rubio/Vance. Praying those two, in some combination, are on the '28 ticket.

Too bad it seems you're confused

Trump's 'willingness to fight' does not preclude him from being disorganized and easily swayed.

The presidency is largely a popularity contest. Trump > Desantis in popularity. Simple as that.
