I don’t think people really cared what his platform was, they just wanted Trump out of office.
Which is a real indictment of where we were and are as a country. In many ways, the American people are getting what they deserve for years and years of apathy while storm clouds were gathering.

Pretty much this, I don't think Biden got 81 million votes but the more people I talk to it seems there were more people with this mindset than I actually thought. I wouldn't doubt he got 60+million legal votes people in this country are fricking retarded

There's nothing wrong with the premise of "getting rid of fossil fuels". They're not efficient enough and the waste products aren't great.
But the technology isn't there for a replacement energy source yet and that's the biggest problem

What green energy is as dense, power-packed, and portable as oil? The end of fossil fuels means the end of economic growth as we have known it. I am all for nuclear, I think we will need it to keep the lights on.

I’m not sure what the number is now, but a couple of years ago there were 9 million jobs in the oil & gas sector, so that will be quite an impact.
