I remember when the first "speech codes" were popping up in academia in the early 1990s. I never thought it would get to this. This is fricking chilling.

This is what the left wants. The majority of their flock also believe the greatest threats to the nation are Trump supporters and the unvaxxed, so thanks to dem rhetoric, we have a massive voting block that is willing to surrender (or take away from others by force) basic freedoms, and views people with different political ideas as "the enemy".

Umm yeah. These know it all professors didn’t succeed outside of a classroom or never left one. I went through college as a non traditional veteran during Trump. Had to bullshite many things in the required lib electives. Got paid to go and did a Masters, so I can’t bitch. Those classrooms are full of dumb students and teachers though who don’t give a shite about the constitution or civil rights and liberties.

Free speech is what led to this predicament. It allowed wokeness to spread and gain power...now the woke are trying to remove free speech so another hostile ideology doesn't rise up and replace wokeness.

I've said for a long time that no Amendment can protect free speech if the people themselves do not value free speech.
Sure. I could get a gang of loud people to show up to speaker events I don't like and scream them down. But, I value the concept of free speech for those who wish to hear the speaker more than my desire to shut them down.
Because anyone with an IQ above room temperature understands that if you don't value free speech for people you disagree with, then your speech isn't really valued either.
