In seeking to enter this country illegally and getting caught, these parents essentially took their kids to a crime scene. What do you expect the government to do in processing those associated with a crime?
No different than would be done here in taking away a crack addicts kids when he/she is busted while stopping at a crack house to score a hit while leaving their kids in a running car.

Anyone else think this is just a bullshite story and now we have to placate to the fringe left and fringe media?
This is why the fringe is growing on both sides.
Kids are temporary separated from their parents? Big deal. They'll get over it. Their crazy arse parents just drug them hundreds and hundreds of miles through some dangerous shite. I'll assume the kids can handle a day without their parents. The kids are completely fine. The left will lie and say the kids are tossed into cells without being told what's going on.. you know, they lie about it. These kids are being cared for by caring people.

No, we can't agree on that. The actual policy now is zero tolerance on illegal immigration. The side effect....
Under federal law, unaccompanied alien children are sent into the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services. The ORR is responsible for identifying and screening the nearest relative or family friend living in the US to whom the child can be released.

Do you understand that this is not the issue here? We're talking about children arriving with their parents and being deliberately separated from their parents. I agree with you that there is evidence that we were detaining unaccompanied children before we started this separation policy.
And you can continue to call it "zero tolerance" but as Stephen Miller, Sessions, and others within the administration have confirmed, a component of that zero tolerance is that we are separating the children "as a deterrent." I don't understand how can disagree on that

Do you not understand that when someone enters this country illegally, they should be prosecuted? When prosecuted, they spend time in jail while waiting to see a judge. Once that happens, the child becomes unaccompanied alien children.

They are damn fools if they don't resort to fighting fire with fire. The Democrat party is prostituting themselves using children as props to cover their lack of coherent policies regarding governing the country. Sadly for the welfare of the country the left started this little child abuse panic thing by caging the children since the law dictated then couldn't be sent to the adult detention centers. And now they are not interested in a solution to illegal encursion and massed invasions of our sovereign country.
Modern Democrats are an embarrassment to a glorious past of Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy. I don't know how people like Jim Webb and Joe Mancin continue to ID as Democrat.
