my only complaint is that I think this speech would have been a lot more effective if it finished with an example-setting-perp-walk with some generals and admirals being arrested and/or court marshalled in front of the entire assembly.

I saw Hegseth clip of him saying "FAFO" and the military could interpret for our enemies. I understand the sentiment, but this was presented as awkward and unprofessional. I think he'd have been served better to find a better way to say that.
Edit, He may be doing a swell job, but he needs some polish, my opinion anyway. He'd be taken more seriously if he worked at becoming a better public speaker. Practically everything he says is presented to the public.

So you are saying they could have run his problematic toxic masculinity speak through a panel of Karens? In the speech where he is putting them on notice that there will no longer be a panel of Karens?

If you have to fight against a Chinese or Russian incursion, you don’t need men in dance numbers leading the way.

All I care about in this gathering is the Left getting massively triggered. That’s literally all I want.

It really is the most important policy. We must keep triggering the liberals, otherwise this country is doomed.

No I'm not saying that you nitwit. How you got that from what I wrote is just silly nonsense.
What I'm saying is he needs to show more class and professionalism. Maybe something similar to the way Admiral Mike Rogers might have presented his intentions and thoughts.

They put out their directives and there are Generals and Admirals bucking that directive. This is them letting them know their insubordination is no longer going to be tolerated. Their messaging and tone is apparently needed.

No. There are actual criminals and enemies within the military leadership. It wouldn't be making up charges just to target enemies.

This type of thread triggers the, “I voted for Trump, but this is too far” crowd.
